摘要
王先谦《汉书补注》所云元狩三年立刘胥为广陵王,是对班固《汉书·地理志》“武帝元狩三年更名广陵”一语的误解,班固此处所说的“更名广陵”实为更名广陵郡而非广陵国,刘胥立为广陵王的时间是元狩六年。但班固《汉书·地理志》记载更名广陵郡的时间也不正确,汉武帝将江都国更名为广陵郡的时间应是元狩二年而非元狩三年;班固《汉书·刘非传》又记元狩六年更名广陵郡,是把立广陵国的时间错记为更名广陵郡的时间。
When Wang Xianqian said in Supplemental Notes on Book of Han that Liu Xu was appointed as Lord of Guangling in the third year of Yuanshou,he misunderstood Bangu’s phrase“Emperor Wu renamed Guangling in the third year of Yuanshou era”in Book of Han:Geographical Records which actually means that Guangling was renamed as Guangling County instead of Guangling State,and Liu Xu was in fact appointed Lord of Guangling in the sixth year of Yuanshou era.Besides,the time of renaming Guangling County recorded in Bangu’s Book of Han:Geographical Records is neither correct.The time that Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty renamed the Jiangdu State as Guangling County should be the second rather than the third year of the Yuanshou era.Bangu also recorded in Book of Han:Life of Liu Fei that Guangling was renamed as Guangling County the sixth year of Yuanshou era,which is a misunderstanding of the setting time of the Guangling State as that of Guangling County.
