Objective To analyze the effect and safety of pelvic external fixator in the treatment of pelvic fracture.Method 70 patients with pelvic fractures were included in the study, and the patients were randomly divided into observation group and the control group(n=35).And the patients were given preoperative basic treatment and care in two groups. The patients were treated by external fixation stents in observation group and the patients were treated by open reduction and internal fixation control group. The operative index, rehabilitation index, clinical effect and complications were compared between two groups. Results The patients in both groups were followed up for 12 to 17 months, with an average follow-up time of(14.73±2.15)months.By the end of following-up,the excellent and good rate in the observation group was 91.43%,significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).The operation time, intraoperative blood loss, incision length, hospital stay, drainage tube extraction time, callus formation time, swelling subsided time, fracture healing time and complication rate in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The treatment of pelvic fractures with external fixation stents can effectively shorten treatment time and recovery time, reduce intraoperative blood loss and postoperative complications, and promote fracture healing.
