摘要
本文基于WIOD中2000-2014年多个国家的投入产出数据,从理论分析和实证检验两方面探究互联网技术进步对就业的影响,理论分析发现互联网技术进步对于规模报酬递减(增)行业的就业具有正(负)向影响;实证结果显示,我国互联网技术进步减少了采矿业、技术密集型制造业和建筑业的就业,促进了第三产业就业,长期中互联网技术进步会促进整体就业。国别比较验证了理论分析,并发现互联网技术进步对各国的第三产业均有正向影响,对其他行业具有异质性影响,长期中对各国的整体就业都具有促进作用。因此,应充分发挥互联网技术进步对就业的促进作用,实现经济发展和保障就业的双重目标。
Using the input-output data of various countries from 2000 to 2014 in the WIOD, we explore the impact of Internet technology on employment, both theoretically and empirically.Our theoretical model shows that the impact of the Internet technological change on employment is positive(negative) if the returns to scale(RTS) is smaller(greater) than 1. Our empirical analysis shows that in China, the Internet technological change decreases the employment of mining, construction industries and technology-intensive manufacturing, and increases the employment of various sectors in the tertiary industry. Moreover, the Internet technological change promotes the overall employment in the long run. The result of country comparison between eight countries verifies the theoretical analysis and we find that Internet technological progress improves the employment in the tertiary industry of each country, and has a heterogeneous impact on other industries. In the long run, Internet technological progress has a positive effect on the overall employment of each country. Therefore, we should give full play to the role of Internet technology in promoting employment, and achieve the dual goals of developing and employment.
