Vegetation coverage was calculated based on a remote sensing images of series of a Landsat satellite in a uranium mine in 2000,2007 and 2014.The different years maps of vegetation coverage which were generated through ENVI in 10 km area around the uranium mine were used to reveal the spatial and temporal variation. The result of research shows that vegetation coverage in north, east and south northeastern was higher than other area of the uranium mine and vegetation coverage in 2007 was the highest, the secondly only to the year of 2000.The lowest was in 2014.The variation of vegetation coverage among different period in 10 km area around the uranium mine was not obvious, but the vegetation coverage in factory area obviously reduced from later stage to early stage of operation. This phenomenon indicated that the construction of the uranium mine could influence the ecological environment which was limited to factory area, but not the larger external region.
