Optimized preparation of PET-SiO2-NOEO superhydrophobic membrane and evaluation of its oil-water separation performance

摘要 通过简易方法构建超疏水表面,以提高膜材料的疏水性和油水分离性能。以聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯(PET)无纺布为基底,以正辛基三乙氧基硅烷(NOEO)为改性剂,采用溶胶凝胶法在PET表面原位生长疏水二氧化硅(SiO2)颗粒,一步制备PET-SiO2-NOEO超疏水膜。结果表明:PET无纺布表面生长了疏水SiO2颗粒,PET无纺布的表面形貌发生了变化,PET无纺布的疏水性能得以改善,处理后无纺布的水接触角为161.9°,且热稳定性有一定程度的提升;将PET-SiO2-NOEO超疏水膜在pH 3~12、盐浓度5~45 g/L的含油污水(模拟)中浸泡24 h,水接触角仍保持在150°以上;PET-SiO2-NOEO超疏水膜的油水分离效率为97%以上,表明PET-SiO2-NOEO超疏水膜具备用于舱底水油水分离过程的应用潜力。 Superhydrophobic surface was constructed by a simple method to improve the hydrophobicity and oil-water separation properties of the membrane material. PET-SiO2-NOEO superhydrophobic membrane was prepared in one step by growing hydrophobic nano-SiO2 particles on the polyethylene terephthalate(PET) non-woven fabric surface via sol-gel method, and using n-octyltriethoxysilane(NOEO) as a modifier. The results showed that hydrophobic SiO2 particles grew on the surface of PET, the surface morphology of PET was changed and the hydrophobic properties of PET non-woven fabric was improved. After the treatment, the water contact angle of the non-woven fabric was 161.9°, and the thermal stability of PET increased to certain degree. PET-SiO2-NOEO superhydrophobic membrane was soaked for 24 h in oily sewage(simulated) with a pH of 3~12 and a salt concentration of 5~45 g/L, and the water contact angle of PET-SiO2-NOEO superhydrophobic membrane remained above 150°. The oil-water separation efficiency of the membrane was above 97%, indicating that PET-SiO2-NOEO superhydrophobic membrane has the application potential for bilge water-oil separation process.
