摘要
与儒家传统的“自我”主要是德性自我既相关联又有区别,现代新儒家熊十力试图以传统的道德原则来融合与规范现代性诸价值,建构德性、知性与个性相统一的现代自我,这一自我观念的价值诉求被其根植于“体用不二”的哲学范式之中。“体用不二”亦相应地以“摄用归体”为旨趣,体、用之间的紧张由此呈现为自我的德性优先性对知性独立性的消解与个性认同的限制。
The Confucian tradition of“self”is mainly manifested in the moral self.Quite relevant and different from it,the modern new Confucianist Xiong Shili has tried to integrate and standardize the values of modernity with traditional moral principles,so as to construct a modern self with the unity of virtue,intellectuality and personality.The value appeal of this self concept is rooted in his philosophical paradigm of“Essence-Function Monism”,which also takes“achieving the essentiality through human activities”as its purport.Therefore,the tension between Essence and Function is presented as the self's virtue priority eliminating the independence of intellectuality and restricting the personality identification.
