摘要
以聚乙烯醇(PVA)与硅酸钠在酸性环境下交联反应制备的胶黏剂,将粉末活性炭粘结成型。采用傅里叶红外分析仪、综合热分析仪和扫描电镜等对胶黏剂和成型活性炭进行了分析表征。详细地考察了硅酸钠的用量、后处理温度对成型活性炭的碘吸附值及抗压强度的影响。研究了制备的成型活性炭对甲醛水溶液的吸附作用。结果显示,PVA与硅酸钠以Si—O—C键交联,大大提高了胶黏剂的热稳定性和耐水性。成型活性炭保留了丰富的10 nm以下中微孔结构,孔分布以2 nm以下的微孔为主。当硅酸钠的加入量为4.5%~5%,后处理温度为130~190℃时,制备的成型活性炭碘吸附值达到1180 mg/g,抗压强度为22.2 MPa,甲醛吸附率为60%。
A new kind of adhesive formed by crosslinking polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)and sodium silicate under acidic conditions was used for bonding activated carbon powder to shaped activated carbon.The adhesive and shaped activated carbon were characterized by Fourier infrared analyzer,comprehensive thermal analyzer and scanning electron microscope.Effects of the amount of sodium silicate and post-treatment temperature on iodine adsorption value and compressive strength of the formed activated carbon were investigated in detail.Adsorption of the prepared activated carbon on the aqueous formaldehyde solution was also studied.The results showed that PVA and sodium silicate are crosslinked by Si-O-C bond,which greatly improve the thermal stability and water resistance of the adhesive.The shaped activated carbon has abundant mesopores and micropores below 10 nm.Its pore distribution is mainly micropores below 2 nm.When 4.5%-5%sodium silicate is added and the post-treatment temperature between 130~190℃,the prepared activated carbon’s iodine adsorption value,compressive strength and formaldehyde adsorption rate are 1180 mg/g,22.2 MPa and 60%,respectively.
