【Purpose/significance】As an important part of medical health information resources, the sharing and integration of electronic health record information has always been the focus and difficulty to overcome the "isolated island" phenomenon of medical information resources and realize medical knowledge service. This paper analyzes and summarizes the research progress of semantic integration of electronic health record abroad in order to provide reference for the follow-up research in China Test.【Method/process】Using the method of literature survey, this paper takes the transformation of information resources of EHR into knowledge resources as the main line to sort out the theme framework and development trend of semantic integration of EHR.【Result/conclusion】The semantic integration of EHR is a dynamic knowledge organization process with highly professional and social integration. The future research may focus on the following issues: the construction of interoperability standards for medical subdivision specialty, the openness and transparency of semantic association mode, the research on the mode of providing knowledge services on demand, and the interest balance between open access and privacy protection.【Innovation/limitation】This paper analyzes and reviews the recent research topics of EHR semantic integration abroad, and puts forward the key points and trends in the research progress.
