摘要
主打开源的RISC-V指令集,从物联网等新兴市场切入,与闭源的X86、授权费用昂贵的ARM等主流指令集生态形成差异化竞争,是一股有望打破当前全球处理器垄断格局的重要力量。尤其是在Arm公司可能面临被英伟达收购、中立性丧失的担忧下,全球客户迫切需要培育额外的供应商以确保供应链多元化,基于RISC-V指令集的开源芯片技术与生态引发国内外广泛关注。本文对RISC-V开源架构发展现状进行了整体概述,分析了当前RISC-V生态发展面临的机遇和挑战,并提出我国RISC-V开源生态的发展建议。
The open-source RISC-V instruction set architecture(ISA),cutting into emerging markets such as the Internet of Things(IoT),which forms differentiated competition with mainstream ecosystem such as closed-source X86 and expensive ARM,is an important force that is expected to break the current processor monopoly.Especially when Arm is facing the concern of being acquired by NVIDIA and the possible loss of neutrality,global customers urgently need to cultivate additional suppliers to ensure the diversification of the supply chain.The open-source chip technology and ecosystem based on RISC-V have caused a wide range of domestic and foreign attention.This paper will provide an overall overview of the development status of the open-source RISC-V,analyze the opportunities and challenges for RISC-V ecosystem construction,and put forward some suggestions for the development of China's open-source RISC-V ecosystem.
