Objective:To observe clinical efficacy of modified Gegen decoction(葛根汤加减)combined with fixed-point rotation reduction in the treatment of nerve-root-type cervical spondylosis.Methods:60 patients with nerve-root-type cervical spondylosis in the outpatient clinic of Nanjing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine affiliated to Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine were divided into the treatment group and the control group by using random number table method, with 30 patients in each group. The treatment group were given modified Gegen decoction combined with fixed-point rotation reduction;the control group were given celecoxib capsules,0.2 g,bid. Both groups were treated for 20 days. The total clinical effective rate of the two groups was compared, the changes of visual analogue grading(VAS)scores and anxiety scale SAS scores before and after treatment, and the incidence of adverse reactions during treatment were observed. Results:The total effective rate of the treatment group was 90.00%(27/30),and that of the control group was 63.33%(19/30),the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores of VAS and SAS in the control group were higher than those in the treatment group(P<0.05).No obvious adverse reactions were found in both groups. Conclusion:modified Gegen decoction combined with fixed-point rotation reduction could effectively improve the clinical curative effect in the treatment of nerve-root-type cervical spondylosis.
