摘要
传统大学英语教学的弊端日益显现,专门用途英语引入高校势在必行,专门用途英语教学将成为大学英语教学的主流。本文立足高职高专院校的教学实际,从专门用途英语教学的必要性、需求分析、教学方式方法和合格师资培养等几个方面探讨开展专门用途英语教学的可行性。
The shortcomings of traditional college English teaching are becoming increasingly apparent,and it is imperative to introduce English for special purposes into universities for it will become the mainstream of college English teaching.Based on the teaching practice of higher vocational colleges,the paper discusses the feasibility of developing special purpose English teaching from several aspects such as the necessity of special purpose English teaching,demands analysis,teaching methods and qualified teacher training.
