As an effective quantitative measure of walkability, walk score has a significant impact on optimizing the layout of urban daily living facilities, improving residents'travel convenience and improving the living environment.Yangzhou will improve the walk score as the key to building an urban slow traffic system, and strive to make the walking score of each street more than 70 points.Based on the existing pedestrian score models at home and abroad, considering the impact of public transport on residents'travel, the weight of parks, public transport and other facilities should be appropriately increased from the perspective of safety and comfort to make them more in line with the travel habits of Yangzhou residents. At the same time, the greening level parameter is introduced to further modify the model. The improved model is used to calculate the current walk score of Yangzhou science&technical new town, and the changes of walk score before and after different optimization measures are compared and analyzed. It is proposed that mixed land use design and bus guided development(TOD)are the most effective measures to improve street walk score.
