摘要
隋末唐初大儒王通,生前即有“王孔子”之称,初唐名士魏征、房玄龄等都出自其门下,其儒家经典视域中的“风雅精神”,不仅体现了古代文士的“君子才性”,还蕴涵了个体“教化天下”的使命,是一种新的具有时代意义的“风雅文教精神”。王通希冀通过“道”的“文教”功用来影响天下,其批评谢灵运、沈约等而褒美曹植、颜延之、王俭、任昉等六朝作家。在王通的经典视域中,“君子才性”是风雅精神的形而下呈现;“教化天下”是风雅精神的形而上呈现,初唐文士们的视域与王通的视域出现了融合,“风雅文教精神”从而演绎为初唐的文化趋向,并推动形成了盛唐气象的蔚为大观。
Wang Tong,a great scholar in the late Sui and early Tang dynasties,was praised like Confucius.He has many prominent students,including Wei Zheng,Fang Xuanling etc.The"elegant spirit"in his classical vision not only embodies the"gentleman's talent"of ancient literati,but also contains individual mission of"culture and education",which is a new spirit of the elegant culture and education.Wang Tong hoped to influence the world through the"culture and education"of"Dao".He criticized Xie Lingyun,Shen Yue and praised Cao Zhi,Yan Yanzhi,Wang Jian,Ren Fang in the Six Dynasties."Gentleman's talent"is the physical manifestation,and"civilizing the world"is the metaphysical presentation of the elegant Spirit in Wang Tong's classical vision,which appeared to be consistent with the literati's vision of the early Tang dynasty.The spirit of elegant culture and education,therefore,became the cultural trend of the early Tang dynasty,and which contributed to the features of the Golden Age of the Tang Dynasty.
