摘要
十九大报告提出,中国要坚持和平发展道路,推动构建人类命运共同体。语言服务可以促进国与国之间的交流,是实现人类命运共同体构想的有力推手,而语言服务技术的进步,尤其是机器翻译技术的创新与变革,是促进语言服务业发展的重要因素。本研究基于技术进步视角,重点探讨了以下三个问题:(1)神经机器翻译技术对语言服务企业绩效产生何种影响?(2)面对机器翻译技术进步时的决策如何影响语言服务企业的未来发展?(3)机器翻译技术进步如何驱动全球语言服务业内的并购重组?研究发现:神经机器翻译技术对语言服务企业绩效具有显著的积极影响;相较于未采用机器翻译技术的语言服务企业,采用机器翻译技术的企业业绩增长明显;机器翻译技术进步推动了语言服务业内的并购重组,并显著提升了相关企业的绩效。研究结果表明,机器翻译技术进步是现代语言服务业飞速发展的主要原因之一,语言服务企业应顺应时代变化,积极拥抱新技术,促进自身与行业的发展。
The 19th CPC National Congress proposed“following a path of peaceful development and working to build a community with a shared future for mankind”.The development of the language service industry can improve communications between countries and help to realize the vision of a community with a shared future for mankind.The innovation of language service technology is an important factor to promote the development of language service industry.From the perspective of technological progress,this research focuses on the following three questions:(1)What impact does neural machine translation technology have on the performance of language service providers?(2)Howdo decisions of language service providers facing technological progress of machine translation affect their future development?(3)How does machine translation technology drive mergers and acquisitions in the language service industry?The result shows:(1)Neural machine translation technology has a significant positive impact on the performance of language service companies.(2)Compared with language service companies that do not use machine translation technology,the performance of companies that use machine translation technology has increased significantly.(3)Technological progress in machine translation has driven mergers and acquisitions in the language service industry and significantly improved the performance of related companies.The study demonstrates that continuous breakthroughs in machine translation are the main reason for the rapid development of the modern language service industry.Language service providers should adapt to the changes of the times and actively embrace new technologies to promote the development of themselves and the industry.
