摘要
文章基于亚马逊网站读者评论,借助语料库软件AntConc,考察《高兴》英译本的海外读者接受情况。研究发现,虽有部分读者对小说结局和某些文化元素的理解等方面表达了批评意见,但得益于作品本身的民族性和世界性、亚马逊网站和权威报刊的推介、副文本的使用以及译者地道的翻译,作品总体上受到海外媒体和普通读者的积极评价,其成功译介可以为中国文学"走出去"提供借鉴。
This paper studies the reception of the English version of Happy Dreams among overseas readers on the basis of readers’ reviews on Amazon website through the corpus software——AntConc.It finds that although the work is criticized by some readers for its abrupt ending and the difficulty in understanding some cultural elements,it is generally praised by overseas media and ordinary readers owing to the work itself which embodies both national peculiarity and universal quality,the promotion of Amazon website and authoritative newspapers,the use of paratext and its idiomatic translation.Therefore,Happy Dreams’ s successful translation can provide some experience for Chinese literature "Going Global".
