Objective:To investigate the clinical significance of chest wall and axillary radiotherapy after radical mastectomy. Methods:From March 2019 to December 2020,80 breast cancer patients treated in Xianghe County People's Hospital were selected as the study subjects. They were divided into two groups with 40 cases in each group according to random number table method. The control group underwent chest wall radiotherapy, and the observation group was given axillary radiotherapy on the basis of the control group. The local control rate, survival rate, recurrence rate and adverse reaction incidence of the two groups were compared. Results:The local control rate, survival rate and recurrence rate of the two groups were compared, and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The short-term efficacy, survival rate and recurrence rate of chest wall and axillary radiotherapy after radical mastectomy are comparable to those of chest wall radiotherapy alone, while the combination of axillary radiotherapy can lead to a significant increase in the risk of adverse reactions, and the axillary radiotherapy in clinical treatment should be carefully evaluated according to the patient's condition to ensure the clinical treatment effect and safety.
