摘要
以英国庚子赔款的资助为基础,管理中英庚款董事会在1933年至1946年共开展了9届庚款留英学生的考选活动。在准备招考、执行考务、录取选送一系列考选环节中,逐步建立起一套规范完备的庚款留英教育考选制度。抗战的全面爆发使留英考选既要服务抗战建国需要,又应具有一定灵活与自主的空间。透过考选环节设计与运作的视角,能够考察中英庚款取得兴学实效的前提和基础。
Funded by British Boxer Indemnity,Sino-British Administration Trustees Board of the British Boxer Indemnity carried out nine examination and selection activities between 1933 and 1946.During preparation,examination and admission processes,the board established a fine examination and selection system of Boxer-Indemnity-funded education in Britain.The outbreak of war required the system to serve the war and have certain flexibility and independence.From the perspective of the design and operation of examination and selection,we can study the premise of the effectiveness of Sino-British Boxer Indemnity.
