摘要
《拉贝日记》是南京大屠杀的重要史料,包含丰富的情感层面内容,折射出拉贝的性格特质,被质疑记述具有主观偏向。文章基于BERT模型对《拉贝日记》进行分句情感极性识别,并通过时序统计、地图映射和史料对照,从整体视角探索南京大屠杀前后拉贝的情感分布特征、变化趋势和对不同人物的情感倾向。研究表明:对日记全文的情感分析有助于完善拉贝在南京时期的人物形象,为既有研究提供佐证;日记全文情感曲线呈现持续下落趋势,且未体现明显的悲剧型情节编排,表明拉贝没有强化日军暴行的叙事意图;情感曲线的变化趋势与南京形势变化契合,反映拉贝的情感书写受到外部时局的严重影响;而拉贝对日本大使馆成员客观多元的情感倾向表明拉贝对人物的态度主要受到其行为的影响,并没有明显的国族偏见。
The Diaries of John Rabe is an important historical material of the Nanjing Massacre.The Diaries of John Rabe contains many sentimental factors,reflecting Rabe’s personality traits.As a result,the account of The Diaries of John Rabe has been questioned by some subjective biases.Based on manual annotation and by means of BERT(Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers),this paper first tries to identify the sentimental polarity of clauses in Rabe’s diaries.Based on time series statistics,mapping and comparison of historical materials,it then explores the features and changing trend of Rabe’s sentimental distribution,as well as his sentimental tendency towards different characters before and after the Nanjing Massacre.The result is showed as follows:Such a sentimental analysis of Rabe’s diaries could be helpful to make more clear the personal image of Rabe in Nanjing,and provides solid evidence for current researches;The sentimental curve of Rabe’s diaries shows a trend of continuous decline,and there is no obvious tragic plot arrangement,which indicates that Rabe had no intention to strengthen the narrative of Japanese military atrocities;The changing trend of the sentimental curve is consistent with the changing situation of Nanjing,which reflects that Rabe’s sentimental writing was closely influenced by the external situations.Rabe showed diversified sentimental tendencies towards the members of the Japanese Embassy,indicating that his attitudes towards other people were mainly influenced by their individual behaviors,and he had no obvious national prejudice.
