摘要
在各国政治实践中,对外舆论是国家制定和调整对外政策的民意基础。随着互联网时代的到来,大数据正在驱动对外舆论研究内容和方法的变革。社交媒体可以及时跟踪大规模时间序列内公众对外部世界的情感流变,构建清晰直观的舆论变化图,从而在对外舆论研究中引入更多动态化的命题。社交媒体大数据背后的情感信息可反映对外舆论的特征,大数据情感分析则可系统呈现公众情感愉悦度和活跃度的变化规律以及不同主体的情感倾向趋近度,从而揭示数字时代对外舆论发生波动的三种成因类型。以一定时间段内“中国公众对欧洲的认知”为案例,基于新浪微博大数据的分主题情感分析,佐证了对外舆论的“动态性”特征,并进一步验证了对外舆论变化背后的发生机制。
Public opinion on foreign affairs can produce a significant impact on foreign policy-making.With the arrival of the digital era,big data and its analytic tools are driving a revolution in research questions and methods of public opinion on foreign affairs.Social media tracks how the public's sentiment toward foreign countries evolves over time,providing a clear picture of how public opinion changes and inspiring further research into the dynamics of public opinion.The affective information behind social media big data is a mirror of public opinion on foreign affairs.Big data sentiment analysis systematically presents the changing patterns of the public's emotional pleasure and activity,as well as the convergence of emotional tendencies of the general public and opinion leaders,revealing three types of causes of fluctuations in the public opinion on foreign affairs in the digital era.Using“public perception of Europe in China”as an example,this study conducts a topic modeling sentiment analysis based on social media big data,corroborates the dynamic feature of public opinion on foreign affairs and further verifies the mechanism behind the fluctuations in public opinion on foreign affairs.
