Base editors(BEs) hold great promise as tools for introducing single-base-pair changes in both basic research and therapeutic applications(Rees and Liu,2018).Base editors are composed of a Cas9 nickase fused to a DNA-modifying enzyme,which chemically modifies nucleobases within a specific targeting window near the Cas9-binding site.
