摘要
制造业数字化是工业4.0的重要组成部分。既有研究明确了核心概念、应然路径、困境挑战等问题,但对于现实中哪些要素及要素的组合形成了企业自生能力,以及企业如何选择相应数字化转型路径的问题不甚清晰。本文基于TOE框架以中国1039家制造业企业为研究案例,运用模糊集定性比较分析(fsQCA)方法,探索技术、组织、环境条件对制造业企业数字化转型的联动效应及其路径选择,研究发现:(1)单一条件并不构成高程度数字化转型的必要条件,但是技术创新、产业信息丰裕度和政商关系发挥着较普适的作用。(2)技术、组织和环境条件“多重并发”,有8条驱动数字化转型的多样化组态,在有控制可比较的原则下归纳为战略规划型、潜力发挥型、禀赋优越型3类自生能力模式。(3)结合现有理论解释,本文提出了富有潜力且可待检验的4个研究命题。(4)不同碳排放约束下存在行业异质性特征,高碳行业、低碳行业的数字化转型驱动路径存在明显差异。
Digitalization of manufacturing is an important part of Industry 4.0.Established studies have clarified core concepts,contingent paths,and dilemma challenges,but there is little clarity on which elements and combinations of elements form an enterprise's self-generated capabilities,and how enterprises choose the corresponding digital transformation paths.We use 1039 manufacturing enterprises in China as a research case and apply the fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis(fsQCA)method to explore the linkage effects and path choices of technological,organizational,and environmental conditions on digital transformation of manufacturing enterprises.The study finds that,firstly,a single condition does not constitute a necessary condition for a high degree of digital transformation,but technological innovation,industrial information abundance,and government-business relationship play a more generalized role.Second,there are eight diverse groupings driving digital transformation,which are grouped under the principle of controlled comparability into three types of autopoietic capability models:strategic planning,potential exploitation,and superior endowment.Combined with existing theoretical explanations,this paper proposes four research propositions that are rich in potential and can be tested.Finally,there are industry heterogeneity characteristics under different carbon emission constraints,and there are obvious differences in the digital transformation driving paths of high-carbon industries and low-carbon industries.
