摘要
开放对收入的影响一直是国际贸易研究所关注的重要议题,因此,剖析制度型开放对企业内薪酬差距的影响,无疑具有重要的意义。本文以市场准入负面清单制度实行为切入点,采用双重差分法,分析了制度型开放对企业内员工薪酬差距的影响。研究表明:实行负面清单制度加剧了企业内员工薪酬差距,这主要表现为管理层员工平均薪酬增长,而普通员工薪酬保持不变;其影响机理为,制度型开放导致市场竞争加剧,进入企业对劳动力需求的上升以及管理层员工与普通员工间人力资本专用性的差异强化了企业对管理层员工的需求,管理层提薪必要性的提升加剧了企业内薪酬差距,而企业内管理层薪酬“同群效应”的存在则进一步扩大了企业内薪酬差距。进一步分析表明,制度型开放显著加剧了资本技术密集型行业内企业以及内控质量较高企业内的薪酬差距,且管理层薪酬上涨主要表现为超额薪酬上涨,而国有企业更为严格的薪酬约束体系可有效缓冲外部市场环境变动引致的薪酬差距增长冲击。
The impact of opening-up on income has been an important issue for the international trade area.Therefore,it is undoubtedly of great significance to analyze the impact of institutional opening-up on the pay gap within enterprises.Taking the implementation of the negative list pilot project as the point of penetration,this paper discusses the impact of the institutional opening-up on the pay gap within enterprises by using the method of difference-in-differences.We find that the implementation of the negative list pilot project exacerbates the pay gap within enterprises,which is because the average pay of management employees increases,while the pay of ordinary employees remains unchanged.The mechanism is as follows:institutional opening-up leads to intensified market competition,and the rising demand for labor force caused by the entry of new enterprises and the differences in human capital specificity between management employees and ordinary employees significantly reinforce the demand for management employees.The increasing management employees'need for higher pay intensifies the pay gap within enterprises.Meanwhile,the existence of compensation's“peer effect”within management employees further expands the pay gap.Further analysis shows that the institutional openingup policy has significantly exacerbated the pay gap in those enterprises which belong to the capital and technology intensive industries,and those enterprises with higher internal control quality.Furthermore,the increase in management employees'pay is mainly manifested by the increase of excess pay,and the stricter compensation restraint systems in stateowned enterprises have effectively mitigated the pay gap increase caused by changing external market environment.
