毛竹向杉木林扩张过程中叶功能性状季节变化

Seasonal Changes in Leaf Functional Traits During the Expansion of Phyllostachys edulis Into Cunninghamia lanceolata Forests

摘要 为研究不同季节,毛竹扩张杉木林的过程中,其叶片功能性状的变化情况,选取毛竹扩张地段上连续分布的毛竹-杉木混交林(MF)和毛竹纯林(BF)两种林分布置样地,于2021年四季,各样地中随机采取毛竹叶片,测定叶片形态、叶养分质量分数、叶光合色素质量分数和叶片解剖结构等叶功能性状。结果表明:在扩张过程中,毛竹叶结构性状季节变化趋势差异较大,但也存在相似性。其中,与毛竹纯林相比,毛竹-杉木混交林内毛竹叶厚在夏秋两季显著降低;毛竹-杉木混交林内的毛竹叶片比叶面积普遍大于毛竹纯林,并在夏季达到显著差异;毛竹-杉木混交林内毛竹叶碳质量分数在冬季显著低于毛竹纯林;叶磷质量分数在春季显著低于毛竹纯林;毛竹纯林内叶碳、氮质量分数比在冬季显著高于毛竹-杉木混交林;毛竹光合色素质量分数季节变化趋势大致相同,均呈现出冬季毛竹纯林显著大于毛竹-杉木混交林,春季毛竹-杉木混交林显著大于毛竹纯林;相较于毛竹纯林,毛竹-杉木混交林中的叶片表皮有一定程度的加厚,表皮外角质层加厚,木质部导管较为发达,泡状细胞较为发达,但毛竹-杉木混交林中毛竹叶片韧皮部截面积显著减小。这些结果说明毛竹在向杉木林扩张过程中,其叶片的功能性状随着季节变化而发生改变,表现出一定的表型可塑性,有利于其在与杉木的竞争中生长。 To investigate the seasonal changes in leaf functional traits of Phyllostachys edulis during its expansion into Cunninghamia lanceolata forests, sampling plots were established in contiguous P. edulis-C. lanceolata mixed forests (MF) and P. edulis pure forests (BF) along the expansion front of P. edulis . During the four seasons of 2021, random sampling of P. edulis leaves was conducted in each plot to measure leaf morphological traits, leaf nutrient contents, leaf photosynthetic pigment contents, and leaf anatomical structures. The results showed that, during the expansion process, the seasonal variations in leaf structural traits of P. edulis exhibited significant differences and similarities. Compared to P. edulis pure forests, the leaf thickness of P. edulis in the P. edulis-C. lanceolata mixed forests significantly decreased in the summer and autumn seasons. In the mixed forests, the specific leaf area of P. edulis was generally higher than in the pure forests, reaching significant differences in the summer. The carbon content of P. edulis leaves in the mixed forests was significantly lower in the winter compared to the pure forests, while the phosphorus content was significantly lower in the spring. The carbon and nitrogen concentrations in the leaves of P. edulis pure forests were significantly higher in the winter compared to the mixed forests. The seasonal variation trends in photosynthetic pigment contents of P. edulis were similar, with significantly higher values in the winter for the pure forests and in the spring for the mixed forests. Compared to the pure forests, the leaf epidermis in the mixed forests showed thickening, with increased thickness of the cuticle layer, well-developed xylem vessels, and a higher density of bulliform cells. However, the cross-sectional area of the leaf phloem in P. edulis leaves significantly decreased in the mixed forests. These results indicate that the leaf functional traits of P. edulis change with the seasons during its expansion into C. lanceolata forests, showing phenotypic plasticity that facilitates its growth in competition with C. lanceolata .
