关系治理能力对联盟知识转移的影响——目标协同的中介作用与环境动态性的调节作用 被引量:1

The Impact of Relational Governance Ability on Alliance Knowledge Transfer:The Mediating Effect of Goal Synergy and the Moderating Effect of Environmental Dynamics

摘要 企业牵头引领联盟合作创新是国家发展所需、企业立身之本。在此背景下,基于协同创新理论,利用584份CEO与CTO填写的问卷数据进行分析,揭示关系治理能力对联盟知识转移的影响,并探讨目标协同的中介作用和环境动态性的调节作用。结果发现:关系治理能力与联盟伙伴目标协同正向影响知识转移;联盟伙伴目标协同在关系治理能力与知识转移之间具有显著中介作用;环境动态性是重要的情境变量,能够正向调节联盟伙伴目标协同与知识转移关系。 Against the backdrop of economic globalization and a new round of scientific and technological revolutions,cooperative innovation has strongly contributed to the economic growth in China and around the world.Enterprises,as important innovation subjects,seek cooperative innovation not only to improve economic benefits but also to increase social benefits.Therefore,considering the crucial role of enterprises,the Chinese government encourages them to take the lead in forming alliances for cooperative innovation to enhance the efficiency of alliance-based innovation.Additionally,knowledge transfer is a vital process within cooperative innovation that can significantly impact the quality and extent of innovation.Thus,it holds great practical significance to study how enterprises can lead such cooperation to facilitate knowledge transfer.A large number of studies have found that external knowledge is a key resource for organizational innovation and development,which can effectively promote collaborative innovation performance and alliance cooperative innovation.Therefore,enterprises attach importance to external knowledge transfer.Relational governance fosters inter-firm knowledge transfer,enabling knowledge flow and sharing through personnel contacts,technology transfers,patent transfers,and other means.This,in turn,strengthens the internal foundation of key resources for enterprises and promotes knowledge creation and innovation transformation.Existing studies have explored how firms influence inter-firm knowledge transfer from the perspective of relational governance.However,the ability level and efficiency of relational governance are ignored.Therefore,from the perspective of enterprises'own capability development,this study aims to investigate the influence of relational governance ability on inter-firm knowledge transfer.This approach better reflects the proactive role of innovation subjects and uncovers the mechanisms behind the establishment and operation of enterprise alliances.Following the collaborative innovation theory,this study reveals how relational governance ability influences knowledge transfer through goal synergy of alliance partners and explores the moderating effect of environmental dynamics on goal synergy of alliance partners and knowledge transfer.After analyzing data from 584 questionnaires completed by CEOs and CTOs,the following conclusions are reached:first,relational governance ability fosters knowledge transfer;second,goal synergy of alliance partners facilitates knowledge transfer;third,goal synergy of alliance partners plays a mediating role in the relationship between relational governance ability and knowledge transfer;fourth,environmental dynamics positively moderates the relationship between goal synergy of alliance partners and knowledge transfer.In terms of theoretical contributions,this study first clarifies that in the context of cooperative innovation,enterprises,as innovation subjects,need to respond to policies and proactively leverage their relational governance abilities.It reveals the positive impact of this approach on knowledge transfer during the innovation process.Then it explains the mechanism through which relational governance ability exerts a positive influence on knowledge transfer and underscores the important mediating role of goal synergy of alliance partners.Finally,by illustrating the contingency role of environmental dynamics in the relationship between goal synergy of alliance partners and knowledge transfer,this study enriches the understanding of the boundary of the knowledge transfer process mechanism from the perspective of dynamic collaborative innovation.The findings are of significance to management practice.Firstly,enterprises could enhance their relational governance ability by formulating relationship strategies.Different types of enterprises require specific relationship governance schemes,and enterprises should be attentive to adopting different relationship strategies in different phases.Secondly,in the continuous promotion of cooperative innovation,enterprises should consistently pay attention to the alignment of alliance partners'goals with common strategic objectives.They should also focus on ensuring mutual compatibility and preventing conflicts in their goals.Thirdly,organizations must employ dynamic thinking to study the impact of environmental factors on knowledge transfer initiatives.Enterprises should always maintain a high level of sensitivity to environmental changes,such as market demand,technological iteration,and competitor changes,in order to detect changes in time and take appropriate measures to efficiently guide knowledge transfer activities or avoid potential negative impacts on knowledge transfer.Simultaneously,applicable national policies are expected to support the collaborative innovation platforms,collect social resources,and offer funding.
