In order to analyze the smoke development process of old high-rise residential buildings under fire scenes,a fire simulation model was established by Pyrosim software based on the research background of a high-rise residential building, and the spread law of smoke in the stairwell under fire scenes was analyzed by opening windows of different stairwell heights. The simulation results of flue gas emission with windows opened at different stairwell heights were compared. The results showed that under the condition of smoke filling the entire staircase, the clarity of the third staircase can be achieved when the windows of the seventh staircase are opened for 180 s;When the windows of the 27th floor staircase are opened for 180 s,the clarity of the 6th floor staircase can be achieved; When the windows of the seventh and twenty-seventh floors of the staircase are opened simultaneously for 180 s,the clarity of the seventh floor staircase can be achieved; When the window is opened at the highest point of the staircase for 180 s,the clarity of the 8-story staircase can be achieved. The comprehensive comparison of the smoke exhaust effect of the stairwell window opening shows that the window opening at the highest level of the stairwell>simultaneously opening the window on the middle and lower surface>opening the window above the middle and lower surface>opening the window below the middle and lower surface.
