Objective To observe the effect of repeated transcranial magnetic stimulation(rTMS)combined with sandplay therapy in the treatment of children with autism spectrum disorder(ASD).Methods A total of 102 children with ASD admitted to Children's Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from January 2021 to December 2022 were selected. They were divided into two groups according to the random number table method. The control group(n=51)was given sandplay therapy, while the experimental group(n=51)was given rTMS combined with sandplay therapy. The treatment effect, degree of autism, behavioral ability, social ability and sleep status were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the scores of the Autism Treatment Evaluation Checklist(ATEC),Childhood Autism Rating Scale(CARS),Autism Behavior Checklist(ABC),Social Responsiveness Scale(SRS),and Chinese version of Children's Sleep Habits Questionnaire(CSHQ)in both groups were lower than those before treatment(P<0.05),and the scores in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of rTMS and sandplay therapy is effective in the treatment of children with ASD,which can reduce their degree of autism, improve their behavioral ability, social ability, and sleep status.
