摘要
新加坡的语言政策与国家身份建构息息相关,因而一直受到学界的关注。然而,国家安全是新加坡国家身份建构的前提。因此,本文从国家安全的视角出发,分析了语言政策在新加坡的国际政治安全、国内社会安全、经济安全和文化安全等方面所起的作用,指出新加坡的双语制制造了新加坡语言身份与文化身份的割裂,在一定程度上阻碍了新加坡文化安全的实现,可能最终威胁到新加坡的国家安全。
The language policies of Singapore have been a topic of great interest in academic circles,since it is closely related to the construction of Singaporean national identity.However,the construction of Singaporean national identity has to depend on its national security.Thus,this paper analyzes the functions of Singaporean language policies in the aspects of its international political security,national social security,economic security and cultural security.It points out that the bilingual system leads to the split between the linguistic identity and cultural identity of Singapore,which will probably threaten Singaporean cultural security or even its national security.
