摘要
语言是文化的载体 ,人类创造的一切文明都是靠语言传承的 ,地名是语言中的一部分 ,因而地名之中蕴涵着丰富的文化 ,也可以说地名是人类创造的文明的部分活化石。本文探讨绍兴地名文化 ,从地名的语言特点入手 ,进而试图揭示绍兴地名命名的理据以及地名之中的文化内涵。
Language is the carries of culture. All the civilizations created by mankind are passed on by language. Being part of a language, place names embrace rich culture and are regarded as living fossils of civilizations created by human beings. This paper discusses the place names of Shaoxing. Starting with the language characteristics of the place names, the paper tries to explore the basis upon which the names of Shaoxing are given and the cultural connotation in them.
