Electrochemical behaviour of ethidium bromide on a wax impregnated spectrographic electrode was studied.Then the interaction between ethidium bromide and DNA was studied by electrochemical and UV Vis Spectrum methods,and the conclusion that ethidium bromide can insert in DNA when interacting was obtained.From the conclusion,ethidium bromide is promising to be used as the probe of indicating the interaction between DNA and other small molecules.
