The national standard 揚ower Quality-Temporary and Transient Overvoltages?GB/T 18481-2001)has been published in April, 2002. This paper describes some basic consideration for this standard, the selection of itscontents and the explanation of the items during drafting the standard which may be referred when this standard is being performed.
