摘要
《历史研究》近期发表的两组义和团研究论文 ,展现出历史事件研究的新前景 ,即不再把事件视为自足的研究对象 ,而将其作为透视社会结构的研究路径和视角。“事件路径”的历史意味着事件外延的扩展和看待时间的不同方式。在史学研究中 ,“事件路径”是沟通宏观与微观、结构与事件的有效途径 ,它与社会史、总体史、叙事史等当代史学的新进展并行不悖 ,因而具有广阔的前景。
This journal recently published two groups of articles about the Boxer Rebellion, revealing a new prospective of researches of historical events: instead of mere objects of study, historical events are regarded as an approach and a perspective for studying social structures. That marks a movement toward a history of event approach from event history, which involves an expansion of denotations of events and an alternative experience of time. As an effective way to bridge the macro and the micro, the structure and the event, it responds to the recent development of historiography, such as the social history, total history and narrative history, and will open a brand new horizon.
