摘要
由于美国学生在国际测试中持续表现不佳,美国社会普遍认为教育没有为21世纪的国际竞争做好准备。为此全美州议会联合会发布了《没有时间浪费》报告。该报告通过对PISA测试表现优异国家和地区教育情况的实地考察与国际比较,提出了创建世界一流教育体系的路径:建立一个由各领域专家组成的团队,确定教育优先事项;积极参与国际教育排名;建立共同教育愿景和政策基准;由点到面,实现教育全面卓越。
American students continue to perform poorly in international tests,and the society believes that education is notready for international competition in the 21 st century. Therefore the National Conference of State Legislatures(NCSL)announced areport No Time to Lose. This report provides a path to the creation of a world-class education system in the United States by the wayof a field study on the top performing countries in PISA,which means the States need identify their educational priorities by theexperts from various fields,participate in international education rankings actively and establish a common educational vision andpolicy benchmark to achieve comprehensive education excellence.
