摘要
本文以二语动机理论为指导,采用开放式问卷和半结构式访谈调查了89名非英语专业本科生的英语学习动机类型分布特征。结果表明中文语境下,大学英语学习者的融合型动机与工具型动机并存;动机类型的具体分布特征差异与语言水平相关。建议任课教师在大学英语教学活动设计中融入学习者的动机需求,利用工具型动机通过课堂策略运用强化、发展融合型动机,保证课外自主性语言学习的持续动力。
This paper makes an investigation of the distribution characteristics of motivation types of 89 non- English undergraduates' English learning in the framework of Motivation Theory,together with the open- end questionnaires and semi- structural interviews. It's found that learners' integrative motivation and instrumental motivation coexist in the college English learners within the Chinese context; distribution characteristics differ in motivation types based on learners 'various language proficiency. Therefore,it is suggested that teachers should integrate learners' motivation needs into college English teaching designs. Taking advantage of their instrumental motivation,by means of classroom strategies,strengthen and develop their integrative motivation so that their motivation for that extracurricular autonomous language learning can surely last.
