摘要
本研究表明 ,中国的消费者对食物安全非常担忧 ,特别是对蔬菜和奶制品 ,对转基因(GM)食品和有机食品的认识很有限 ,而对绿色食品和无公害食品 (PFF)相对比较熟悉。他们不愿为质量较高的食品支付过多的费用。此外 ,本研究还表明 ,年轻人和受过高等教育的男性是PFF的最早接受者。尽管GM食品最近才出现 ,但是受过高等教育的和追求多样化的消费者将来购买GM食品的可能性非常大。本文最后提出了相关政策建议和有待进一步研究的问题。
The objective of this study is to get insight in Chinese consumers' knowledge and concerns over food safety. The results indicate that Chinese consumers are very much concerned about food safety, particularly with regard to vegetables and dairy products. Chinese consumers know little about GM and organic foods. Empirical results show that young and highly educated men are the main consumers of Pollution-free-food, promoted by the Chinese government, and highly educated and variety-seeking consumers are most likely to buy GM food products in the future.
