摘要
公共英语演讲是一项互动性、感染力极强的活动。外研社“理解当代中国”英语演讲大赛以富有时代特色的话题为主题,向全国各大学开放比赛渠道,每年有数千人参与比赛。在比赛中,演讲稿的叙事能力,以及交流能力是影响演讲质量的两个要点。尤其是在赛事主题特色鲜明,主题固定的背景下,文化负载词的引入对语篇会产生重要影响。本文运用例证采样对比研究,对比不同因素之间的关联性及作用,旨在探索文化负载词与英语演讲比赛中叙事性和交流能力的关联。 Public English speaking is an activity with strong interaction and enthusiasm. “Understand Contem-porary China” English Speech Contest held by FLTRP is an annual contest opens to all universities in China, it adopts the topic with the characteristic of the Times as the theme. In the contest, the narrative and communicative abilities are the two main factors that affect the quality of the speech. The introduction of culture-loaded words will have a significant impact on discourse, especially in the context of tournaments with distinctive and fixed themes. This paper uses comparative research to compare the correlation and role of the above two factors in English speeches, it aims to explore culture-loaded words and the connection between narrative and communication ability in English speaking competitions.
