Objective:This study aimed to review the relationship between job embeddedness and turnover intentions among nurses and explore the effects of the Job Embeddedness Scale,number of years in the career,education,and mar...Objective:This study aimed to review the relationship between job embeddedness and turnover intentions among nurses and explore the effects of the Job Embeddedness Scale,number of years in the career,education,and marital status on this relationship.Methods:The review was conducted by searching the China Knowledge Resource Integrated Database(CNKI),Weipu Database(CQVIP),China Biology Medicine(CBM),Wanfang Database,PubMed,Web of Science,Embase,CINAHL,and APA-PsycNet for articles on nurses’job embeddedness and turnover from intention up to March 2024.The research quality was evaluated using the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality(AHRQ)assessment criteria.The review protocol has been registered on PROSPERO[CRD42023483947].Results:The results of this review included 47 studies consisting of 15,742 nurses from seven countries worldwide.A moderate negative correlation was found between job embeddedness and turnover intention(r=0.487).Furthermore,on-the-job embeddedness(r=0.527)was more negatively associated with turnover intention than off-the-job embeddedness(r=0.234).The highest negative correlation was found between sacrifice and turnover intention(r=0.460),while the lowest was for the link(r=0.185).Furthermore,the relationship between job embeddedness and its dimensions with turnover intention was affected by different job embeddedness scales,number of years in the career,education,and marital status(P<0.05).Conclusion:This systematic review and meta-analysis analyzed the relationships between nurses’job embeddedness,dimensions,and turnover intention.Meanwhile,subgroup analysis and meta-regression explored the factors influencing these relationships.It is an important reference for nurse managers to promote nurse retention.展开更多
Objectives: To investigate the adversity quotient (AQ) of Macao undergraduate nursing students and analyse its influencing factors.Methods:A cross-section design was used,and a convenience sample of nursing students(n...Objectives: To investigate the adversity quotient (AQ) of Macao undergraduate nursing students and analyse its influencing factors.Methods:A cross-section design was used,and a convenience sample of nursing students(n=158 valid)was selected from a tertiary institute in Macao.In addition to demographic questions,the Chinese versions of the Adversity Quotient Scale,the Emotional Intelligence(EI)Scale,the Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire and the Parenting Styles Scale were used to assess the students'characteristics.Results:The average AQ score of the students was 116.72±11.39.AQ scores were negatively correlated with coping-negative,and maternal style(excessive interference,excessive protection)(r=-0.332,P<0.001;r=-0.167,P=0.036).Coping-negative entered the regression equation(F=19.154,P<0.001).The female nursing students had higher scores in ownership dimension of AQ than their male counterparts(31.98±3.26 vs.29.21±3.08,t=-4.442,P<0.001).Conclusions:The average AQ scores of Macao undergraduate nursing students were moderate.The female nursing students are more likely to attribute the cause of adversity to themselves,and specific psychosocial and cultural issues may be at play.There is a necessity for Macao nursing students to improve their ability to overcome setbacks.Special attention should be paid to the cultivation of students'positive coping styles.展开更多
A strong chiral near-field plays significant roles in the detection,separation and sensing of chiral molecules.In this paper,a simple and symmetric metasurface is proposed to generate strong chiral near-fields with bo...A strong chiral near-field plays significant roles in the detection,separation and sensing of chiral molecules.In this paper,a simple and symmetric metasurface is proposed to generate strong chiral near-fields with both circularly polarized light and linearly polarized light illuminations in the mid-infrared region.Owing to the near-field interaction between plasmonic resonant modes of two nanosheets excited by circularly polarized light,there is a strong single-handed chiral near-field in the gap between the two graphene nanosheets and the maximum enhancement of the optical chirality could reach two orders of magnitude.As expected,the intensity and the response wavelength of the chiral near-fields could be controlled by the Fermi level and geometrical parameters of the graphene nanosheets,as well as the permittivity of the substrate.Meanwhile,based on the interaction between the incident field and scattered field,the one-handed chiral nearfield in the gap also could be generated by the linearly polarized light excitation.For the two cases,the handedness of the chiral near-field could be switched by the polarized direction of the incident light.These results have potential opportunities for applications in molecular detection and sensing.展开更多
