By using a cell equivalent method, the present model can deal with the face-center square structure of ERF. Combining the scheme of the classical conductivity model for the single-chain structure, a new formula for the prediction of the shear yield stress of ERF was set up. The influences of the separation distance of the particles, the volume fraction of the particles and the applied electric field on the shear yield stress were investigated. 展开更多

A new approach called the robust structured total least squares(RSTLS) algorithm is described for solving location inaccuracy caused by outliers in the single-observer passive location. It is built within the weighted structured total least squares(WSTLS)framework and improved based on the robust estimation theory.Moreover, the improved Danish weight function is proposed according to the robust extremal function of the WSTLS, so that the new algorithm can detect outliers based on residuals and reduce the weights of outliers automatically. Finally, the inverse iteration method is discussed to deal with the RSTLS problem. Simulations show that when outliers appear, the result of the proposed algorithm is still accurate and robust, whereas that of the conventional algorithms is distorted seriously. 展开更多

In this paper,a local surface nanocrystallization technology is used for thin-walled structures with square cross sections,and an energy absorption device of two-staged combined energy absorption structure is proposed.In virtue of the surface nanocrystallization that enables to change the material on local positions,the structural deformation is induced and controlled to maximize the energy absorption capacity.A numerical model of the two-staged combined energy absorption structure is established,and the local surface nanocrystallization layout is optimized.The results show that the specific energy absorption of two-staged combined structure with local surface nanocrystallization can be increased by 34.36%compared with the untreated counterpart of the same material and structural shape.The ratio between the first and second peak crushing forces and the energy absorption allocation ratio between the two stages can be adjusted in the ranges of 0.26–0.55 and 0.31–0.45,respectively,which can be controlled by the local surface nanocrystallization designs.The numerical simulation and experimental results are in good agreement,which shows that the design for energy absorption device with local surface nanocrystallization is feasible and effective. 展开更多

This paper focuses on the indicators of soil and litter health, disturbance, and landscape heterogeneity as a tool for prediction of ecosystem sustainability in the northern forests of Iran. The study area was divided into spatial homogenous sites using slope, aspect, and soil humidity classes. Then a range of sites along the disturbance gradient was selected for sampling. Chemical and physical indicators of soil and litter health were measured at random points within these sites. Structural equation modeling(SEM) was applied to link six constructs of landscape heterogeneity, three constructs of disturbance(harvest, livestock, and human accessibility), and soil and litter health. The results showed that with decreasing accessibility, the total N and organic matter content of soil increased and effective bulk density decreased. Harvesting activities increased soil organic matter. Therefore, it is concluded that disturbances through harvesting and accessibility inversely affect the soil health. Unexpectedly, it was found that the litter total C and C:N ratio improved with an increase in the harvest and accessibility disturbances, whereas litter bulk density decreased. Investigation of tree composition revealed that in the climax communities, which are normally affected more by harvesting activities, some species like Fagus orientalis Lipsky with low decomposition rate are dominant. The research results showed that changes in disturbance intensity are reflected in litter and soil indicators, whereas the SEM indicated that landscape heterogeneity has a moderator effect on the disturbance to both litter and soil paths. 展开更多

Single-station passive localization technology avoids the complex time synchronization and information exchange between multiple observatories, and is increasingly important in electronic warfare. Based on a single moving station localization system, a new method with high localization precision and numerical stability is proposed when the measurements from multiple disjoint sources are subject to the same station position and velocity displacement. According to the available measurements including the angle-of-arrival(AOA), time-of-arrival(TOA), and frequency-of-arrival(FOA), the corresponding pseudo linear equations are deduced. Based on this, a structural total least squares(STLS) optimization model is developed and the inverse iteration algorithm is used to obtain the stationary target location. The localization performance of the STLS localization algorithm is derived, and it is strictly proved that the theoretical performance of the STLS method is consistent with that of the constrained total least squares method under first-order error analysis, both of which can achieve the Cramér-Rao lower bound accuracy. Simulation results show the validity of the theoretical derivation and superiority of the new algorithm. 展开更多

We propose a method based on the local breeding of growing modes(LBGM) considering strong local weather characteristics for convection-allowing ensemble forecasting. The impact radius was introduced in the breeding of growing modes to develop the LBGM method. In the local breeding process, the ratio between the root mean square error(RMSE) of local space forecast at each grid point and that of the initial full-field forecast is computed to rescale perturbations. Preliminary evaluations of the method based on a nature run were performed in terms of three aspects: perturbation structure, spread,and the RMSE of the forecast. The experimental results confirm that the local adaptability of perturbation schemes improves after rescaling by the LBGM method. For perturbation physical variables and some near-surface meteorological elements, the LBGM method could increase the spread and reduce the RMSE of forecast,improving the performance of the ensemble forecast system.In addition, different from those existing methods of global orthogonalization approach, this new initial-condition perturbation method takes into full consideration the local characteristics of the convective-scale weather system, thus making convectionallowing ensemble forecast more accurate. 展开更多

College students experience great stress due to many factors,such as an uncertain future,academic responsibilities,and pressures imposed by social communication.Many institutions of higher education are focusing on how to mediate stressful situations and increase the subjective well-being(SWB)of students to sustain a lifestyle focused on wellness.The online survey used for this study focused on testing an exploratory SWB model by implementing partial least squares structural equation modeling(PLS-SEM)techniques.The participants were 470 college-aged students enrolled in seven different institutions in six cities across China.Findings yielded a good model fit(the Standardized Root Mean Squared Residual[SRMR]=.054)with the validity of manifest variables,reliability of the latent variables(LVs),and overall SWB model indicating moderate predictiveness(GoF R^(2)=.476)by the LVs.Additionally,all of the direct path coefficients and indirect path coefficients that consisted of four partial mediators and one full mediator yielded statistically significant results via bootstrapping.Furthermore,path coefficients for utilization of emotion to life satisfaction for the cognitive exercise group were significantly higher than for the non-cognitive exercise group.The findings illustrated a good model fit for an exploratory SWB model that can predict an individual’s SWB,and cognitive and non-cognitive exercises had different effects on the individuals’SWB. 展开更多
