The major current components include the Bohai Warm Current, the North Shandong Coastal Current, and the Liaodong Gyre. The Bohai Warm Current originates from the Yellow Sea Warm Current at the northern part of Bohai Strait, meanders westwards and finally enters the northern part of Bohai Bay. The North Shandong Coastal Current flows along the southwest shore of Bohai Bay and Laizhou Bay and exits from the Bohai Sea through the south Bohai Strait. The anticyclonic Liaodong Gyre is located in the north of Liaodong Bay. A pair of eddies and the small scale Jinzhou Gyre are found between the Bohai Warm Current and the Liaodong Gyre. The computed volume transport for both the Bohai Warm Current and North Shandong Coastal Current is about 0.03 Sv (1 Sv=1×10 6 m 3/s). The numerical experiments showed that the combined effect of local monsoon winds and bottom topography dominate the formation of the circulation pattern. The Coriolis force and the wind stress curl are of certain importance. The beta effect, the momentum advection and the open boundary condition have little influence on the circulation pattern.展开更多

The blast induced wave propagation in the soil and the tunnel, and the von Mises effective stress and acceleration of the tunnel lining were presented, and the safety of the tunnel lining was evaluated based on the failure criterion. Besides, the parametric study of the soil was also carried out. The numerical results indicate that the upper part of the tunnel lining cross-section with directions ranging from 0° to 22.5° and horizontal distances 0 to 7 m away from the explosive center are the vulnerable areas, and the metro tunnel might be safe when tunnel depth is more than 7 m and TNT charge on the ground is no more than 500 kg, and the selection of soil parameters should be paid more attentions to conduct a more precise analysis.展开更多

The shell, fluid, tension-only spar and beam elements are used for modeling the aqueduct deck, filled water, cables and support towers, respectively. A multi-element cable formulation is introduced to simulate the cable vibration. The dry (without water) and wet (with water) modes of the aqueduct bridge are both extracted and investigated in detail. The dry modes of the aqueduct bridge are basically similar to those of highway cable-stayed bridges. A dry mode may correspond to two types of wet modes, which are called the in-phase (with lower frequency) and out-of-phase (with higher frequency) modes. When the water-structure system vibrates in the in-phase/out-of-phase modes, the aqueduct deck moves and water sloshes in the same/opposite phase-angle, and the sloshing water may take different surface-wave modes. The wet modes of the system reflect the properties of interaction among the deck, towers, cables and water. The in-phase wet frequency generally decreases as the water depth increases, and the out-of-phase wet frequency may increase or decrease as the water depth increases.展开更多

The model of point-source diffusive illuviation of the shear-fluid-ore formation system was constructed, and the numerical simulation of dynamics of the ore formation system was finished. The result shows that: (1) The metallogenic system have nested fractal structure. Different fractal dimension values in different systems show unbalance and inhomogeneity of ore-forming processes in the geohistory. It is an important parameter to symbolize the process of remobilization and accumulation of ore-forming materials. Also it can indicate the dynamics of the metallogenic system quantitatively to some extent. (2) In essence, the fractal dispersive ore-forming dynamics is a combination of multi-processes dominated by fluid dynamics and supplemented by molecule dispersion in fluids and fluid-rock interaction. It changes components and physico-chemical properties of primary rocks and fluids, favouring deposition and mineralization of ore-forming materials. (3) Gold ore-forming processes in different types of shear zones are quite different. (1) In a metallogenic system with inhomogeneous volumetric change and inhomogeneous shear, mineralization occurs in structural barriers in the centre of a shear zone and in geochemical barriers in the shear zone near its boundaries. But there is little possibility of mineralization out of the shear zone. (2) As to a metallogenic system with inhomogeneous volumetric change and simple shear, mineralization may occur only in structural barriers near the centre of the shear zone. (3) In a metallogenic system with homogeneous volumetric change and inhomogeneous shear, mineralization may occur in geochemical barriers both within and out of the shear zone.展开更多

It is found that the Al-Sc targets demonstrate more excellent ability to resist high-speed impact. It is concluded that different microstructures of Al-Sc and Al-Ti alloys, including different grain sizes and secondary particles precipitated in the matrix, result in their greatly different capabilities of resisting impact. Furthermore, the effect of the size range ofnanoscale A13Sc precipitate in A1-Sc alloy on the resistance of high-speed impact was investigated. In addition, computer simulations and validation of these simulations were developed which fairly accurately represented residual crater shapes/geometries. Validated computer simulations allowed representative extrapolations of impact craters well beyond the laboratory where melt and solidification occurred at the crater wall, especially for hypervelocity impact (〉5 km/s).展开更多

The analysis of the FE numerical substructure is split into response analysis and signal generation tasks, and executed in two different target computers in real-time. One target computer implements the response analysis task, wherein a large time-step is used to solve the FE substructure, and another target computer implements the signal generation task, wherein an interpolation program is used to generate control signals in a small time-step to meet the input demand of the controller. By using this strategy, the scale of the FE numerical substructure simulation may be increased significantly. The proposed scheme is initially verified by two FE numerical substructure models with 98 and 1240 degrees of freedom (DOFs). Thereafter, RTDHTs of a single frame-foundation structure are implemented where the foundation, considered as the numerical substructure, is simulated by the FE model with 1240 DOFs. Good agreements between the results of the RTDHT and those from the FE analysis in ABAQUS are obtained.展开更多

An adjusting factor is introduced into the expression of arc pressure. The domain within which the arc heat flux is distributed non-symmetrically due to arc moving is selected appropriately, and three conditions for the domain to meet are described. The latent heat is taken into consideration by liquid fraction method. The dynamic development of weld pool geometry during TIG welding is analyzed numerically, and the effect of arc moving on the weld pool geometry is discussed. Traditional deformation monitoring methods are mostly based on single parameter, in this paper, multiple approaches are integrated: firstly, both electric and elastic models are established, from which electric field distribution and seismic wave recording are calculated and finally, the resistivity profiles and source position information are determined using inversion methods, from which then the deformation and failure of mine floor are evaluated. According to the inversion results of both electric and seismic field signals, multiple-parameter dynamic monitoring of surrounding rock deformation in deep mine can be performed. The methodology is validated using numerical simulation results which shows that the multi-parameter dynamic monitoring methods have better results for surrounding rock deformation in deep mine monitoring than single parameter methods.展开更多

The levels of birefringence signal are found to depend an the polarization angle between the pump beam and the probe beam, and on the ellipticity of the pump beam. Both the growth and decay processes of the birefringence signal can be described by known biexponential equations. The rate constants and the amplitudes associated with the growth process of the photoinduced birefringence are observed to display a linear dependence with the pump beam intensity. A new dynamic model of the photoinduced birefringence is presented taking into account the contributions of both the bans and cis isomers of azobenzene groups and the local polymer segments. The numerical treatment of this model shows good agreement with the experimental data in the whole writing-erasing processes of the photoinduced birefringence conducted in our polymer samples.展开更多

The HYDRUS 1D model was applied to simulate the one-dimensionalmovement of water and salt transport in the soil columns. The results showed that the salts mainly accumulated in theplow layer in the soil columns under crops. Soil water and salt both moved towards the plow layer due to soil waterabsorption by the crop root system. The salt contents in the column with lower groundwater were mostly greater thanthose with high groundwater. The water contents in the soil columns increased from top to the bottom due to plant rootwater uptake. The changes in groundwater level had little influence on water content of the root zone in the soil columnswith crop planting. Comparison between the simulated and the determined values showed that model simulation resultswere ideal, so it is practicable to do numerical simulation of soil salt and water transport by the HYDRUS 1D model.Furthermore, if the actual movement of salt and water in fields is to be described in detail, much work needs to be done. The most important thing is to refine the parameters and select precise boundary conditions.展开更多

The beta effect, the momentum advection and the open boundary condition have little influence on the circulation pattern.

文摘To evaluate the effects of possible ground explosion on a shallow-buried metro tunnel, this paper attempts to analyze the dynamic responses of the operating metro tunnel in soft soil, using a widely applied explicit dynamic nonlinear finite element software ANSYS/LS-DYNA. The blast induced wave propagation in the soil and the tunnel, and the von Mises effective stress and acceleration of the tunnel lining were presented, and the safety of the tunnel lining was evaluated based on the failure criterion. Besides, the parametric study of the soil was also carried out. The numerical results indicate that the upper part of the tunnel lining cross-section with directions ranging from 0° to 22.5° and horizontal distances 0 to 7 m away from the explosive center are the vulnerable areas, and the metro tunnel might be safe when tunnel depth is more than 7 m and TNT charge on the ground is no more than 500 kg, and the selection of soil parameters should be paid more attentions to conduct a more precise analysis.

文摘In this paper, a full-scale 3-D finite element model of the Jundushan cable-stayed aqueduct bridge is established with ANSYS Code. The in-phase wet frequency generally decreases as the water depth increases, and the out-of-phase wet frequency may increase or decrease as the water depth increases.

文摘Based on an analysis of the fractal structures and mass transport mechanism of typical shear-fluid-ore formation system, the fractal dispersion theory of the fluid system was used in the dynamic study of the ore formation system. (3) In a metallogenic system with homogeneous volumetric change and inhomogeneous shear, mineralization may occur in geochemical barriers both within and out of the shear zone.

文摘In the context of deep rock engineering, the in-situ stress state is of major importance as it plays an important role in rock dynamic response behavior. Thus, stress initialization becomes crucial and is the first step for the dynamic response simulation of rock mass in a high in-situ stress field. In this paper, stress initialization methods, including their principles and operating procedures for reproducing steady in-situ stress state in LS-DYNA,are first introduced. Then the most popular four methods,i.e.,explicit dynamic relaxation(DR)method,implicit-explicit sequence method,Dynain file method and quasi-static method, are exemplified through a case analysis by using the RHT and plastic hardening rock material models to simulate rock blasting under in-situ stress condition.Based on the simulations,it is concluded that the stress initialization results obtained by implicit-explicit sequence method and dynain file method are closely related to the rock material model, and the explicit DR method has an obvious advantage in solution time when compared to other methods.Besides that,it is recommended to adopt two separate analyses for the whole numerical simulation of rock mass under the combined action of in-situ stress and dynamic disturbance.
文摘Al-Sc and Al-Ti semi-infinite targets were impacted by high-speed projectiles at velocities of 0.8, 1.0, 1.2 and 1.5 km/s, respectively. Validated computer simulations allowed representative extrapolations of impact craters well beyond the laboratory where melt and solidification occurred at the crater wall, especially for hypervelocity impact (〉5 km/s).

文摘A solution scheme is proposed in this paper for an existing RTDHT system to simulate large-scale finite element (FE) numerical substructures. Good agreements between the results of the RTDHT and those from the FE analysis in ABAQUS are obtained.

文摘A mathematical model is developed for numerical analysis of thermal process in TIG welding with a moving arc, which is considered the double-elliptic distribution for both arc heat flux and arc pressure. The experimental results show that the numerical analysis accuracy is obviously improved through taking the above-mentioned measures.

文摘The level of deformation development of surrounding rocks is a vital predictor to evaluate impending coal mine disasters and it is important to establish accurate measurements of the deformed status to ensure coal mine safety. The methodology is validated using numerical simulation results which shows that the multi-parameter dynamic monitoring methods have better results for surrounding rock deformation in deep mine monitoring than single parameter methods.

文摘The flow in the positive displacement blower is very complex. The existing two-dimensional numerical simulation cannot provide the detailed flow information, especially flow characteristics along the axial direction, which is unfavorable to improve the performance of positive displacement blower. To investigate the effects of spiral inlet and outlet on the aerodynamic performance of positive displacement blower,three-dimensional unsteady flow characteristics in a three-lobe positive displacement blower with and without the spiral inlet and outlet are simulated by solving Navier-Stokes equations coupled with RNG k-ε turbulent model. In the numerical simulation, the dynamic mesh technique and overset mesh updating method are used. The computational results are compared with the experimental measurements on the variation of flow rate with the outlet pressure to verify the validity of the numerical method presented. The results show that the mass flow rate with the change of pressure is slightly affected by the application of spiral inlet and outlet, but the internal flow state is largely affected. In the exhaust region, the fluctuations of pressure, velocity and temperature as well as the average values of velocity are significantly reduced. This illustrates that the spiral outlet can effectively suppress the fluctuations of pressure, thus reducing reflux shock and energy dissipation. In the intake area, the average value of pressure, velocity and temperature are slightly declined, but the fluctuations of them are significantly reduced, indicating that the spiral inlet plays the role in making the flow more stable. The numerical results obtained reveal the three-dimensional flow characteristics of the positive displacement blower with spiral inlet and outlet, and provide useful reference to improve performance and empirical correction in the noise-reduction design of the positive displacement blowers.

文摘Photoinduced birefringence is investigated in a new amorphous copolymer containing azobenzene groups. The numerical treatment of this model shows good agreement with the experimental data in the whole writing-erasing processes of the photoinduced birefringence conducted in our polymer samples.

文摘A laboratory salt-water dynamics experiment using unsaturated soils in packed silt loam and clay soil columns withdifferent soil texture profiles and groundwater levels under crops were conducted to study the changes of salt-waterdynamics induced by water uptake of crops and to propose the theoretical basis for the regulation and control of salt-water dynamics as well as to predict salinity levels. The most important thing is to refine the parameters and select precise boundary conditions.
文摘In this paper. :LDDA (Lagrangian Discontinuous Deformation Analysis) method is used in modeling thedynamic process of the M,=7.8 Tang shan earthquake on July 28, 1976 and obtain directly the dynamic and quasi static dislocations. shear stress drops, fracture velocities of the Tang shan earthquake fault. The simulation showsthai the slip history at each point of the fault is different. The displacement vectors at the concave side of the faultis greater than that of the convex side of the fault. The 'over shoot' of the fault slip is greatest at the middle part ofthe fault and attenuates to its ends. The rupture velocities of the fault from the epicenter towards south-west andtowards north-east are 3.08 m/s and 1. 18 m/s, respectively, the average one is 2.13 In/s. The maximum dynamic.m quasi-static dislocations are 7. 1 m and 6.2 m respectively. the average quasi-static one on the fault is 4.5 m.initial stress dynamic and quasi-static shear stress drops are 8.1 M Pa and 5.4 MP4 respectively, the averagequasi-static shear stress drop is 3.9 M Pa. We found that the rupture velocities and shear stress are related to theinitial stress states of the fault.
