Spatial memory is crucial for survival within external surroundings and wild environments.The hippocampus,a critical hub for spatial learning and memory formation,has received extensive investigations on how neuromodu...Spatial memory is crucial for survival within external surroundings and wild environments.The hippocampus,a critical hub for spatial learning and memory formation,has received extensive investigations on how neuromodulators shape its functions(Teixeira et al.,2018;Zhang et al.,2024).However,the landscape of neuromodulations in the hippocampal system remains poorly understood because most studies focus on classical monoamine neuromodulators,such as acetylcholine,serotonin,dopamine,and noradrenaline.The neuropeptides,comprising the most abundant neuromodulators in the central nervous system,play a pivotal role in neural information processing in the hippocampal system.Cholecystokinin(CCK),one of the most abundant neuropeptides,has been implicated in regulating various physiological and neurobiological statuses(Chen et al.,2019).CCK-A receptor(CCK-AR)and CCK-B receptors(CCK-BR)are two key receptors mediating the biological functions of CCK,both of which belong to class-A sevenfold transmembrane G protein-coupled receptors(Nishimura et al.,2015).CCK-AR preferentially reacts to sulfated CCK,whereas CCK-BR binds both CCK and gastrin with similar affinities(Ding et al.,2022).The expression patterns of CCK-AR and CCK-BR are distinct,implying that CCK has various functions in target regions.For instance,CCK-AR is widely expressed in the GI and brain subregions and is hence implicated in the control of digestive function and satiety regulation.Conversely,CCK-BR is abundantly and widely distributed in the central nervous system,which majorly regulates anxiety,learning,and memory(Ding et al.,2022).However,the roles of endogenous CCK and CCK receptors in regulating hippocampal function at electrophysiological and behavioral levels have received less attention.展开更多
The Red Sea-Gulf of Suez-Cairo-Alexandria Clysmic-Trend in northern Egypt is the main earthquake zone in the country,with a moderate-to-high seismic hazard and a history of significant earthquakes caused by rifting an...The Red Sea-Gulf of Suez-Cairo-Alexandria Clysmic-Trend in northern Egypt is the main earthquake zone in the country,with a moderate-to-high seismic hazard and a history of significant earthquakes caused by rifting and active faulting.To improve our understanding of the tectonic and seismic processes in this area,more comprehensive imaging of the crustal structure is required.This can be achieved by increasing the number of receiver functions(RFs)recorded by the seismic stations in northern Egypt and the southeastern Mediterranean.Data handling and processing should also be automated to increase process efficiency.In this study,we developed a capsule neural network for automated selection of RFs.The model was trained on a dataset containing RFs(both selected and unselected)from five broadband stations in northern Egypt.Stations SLM,SIWA,KOT,NBNS,and NKL are located in the unstable shelf region of Egypt,where limited knowledge of the deep crustal structure is available.The proposed capsule neural network achieved an average precision of 80%on the test set.The automated selection of RFs using a capsule neural network has the potential to significantly improve the efficiency and accuracy of RF analysis,as demonstrated by the stacking test.This could lead to a better understanding of crustal structure and tectonic processes in northern Egypt and the southeastern Mediterranean.展开更多
Recently,Network Functions Virtualization(NFV)has become a critical resource for optimizing capability utilization in the 5G/B5G era.NFV decomposes the network resource paradigm,demonstrating the efficient utilization...Recently,Network Functions Virtualization(NFV)has become a critical resource for optimizing capability utilization in the 5G/B5G era.NFV decomposes the network resource paradigm,demonstrating the efficient utilization of Network Functions(NFs)to enable configurable service priorities and resource demands.Telecommunications Service Providers(TSPs)face challenges in network utilization,as the vast amounts of data generated by the Internet of Things(IoT)overwhelm existing infrastructures.IoT applications,which generate massive volumes of diverse data and require real-time communication,contribute to bottlenecks and congestion.In this context,Multiaccess Edge Computing(MEC)is employed to support resource and priority-aware IoT applications by implementing Virtual Network Function(VNF)sequences within Service Function Chaining(SFC).This paper proposes the use of Deep Reinforcement Learning(DRL)combined with Graph Neural Networks(GNN)to enhance network processing,performance,and resource pooling capabilities.GNN facilitates feature extraction through Message-Passing Neural Network(MPNN)mechanisms.Together with DRL,Deep Q-Networks(DQN)are utilized to dynamically allocate resources based on IoT network priorities and demands.Our focus is on minimizing delay times for VNF instance execution,ensuring effective resource placement,and allocation in SFC deployments,offering flexibility to adapt to real-time changes in priority and workload.Simulation results demonstrate that our proposed scheme outperforms reference models in terms of reward,delay,delivery,service drop ratios,and average completion ratios,proving its potential for IoT applications.展开更多

Objective To examine the mechanistic of organochlorine-associated changes in lung function.Methods This study investigated 76 healthy older adults in Jinan,Shandong Province,over a fivemonth period.Personal exposure t...Objective To examine the mechanistic of organochlorine-associated changes in lung function.Methods This study investigated 76 healthy older adults in Jinan,Shandong Province,over a fivemonth period.Personal exposure to organochlorines was quantified using wearable passive samplers,while inflammatory factors and thyroid hormones were analyzed from blood samples.Participants’lung function was evaluated.After stratifying participants according to their thyroid hormone levels,we analyzed the differential effects of organochlorine exposure on lung function and inflammatory factors across the low and high thyroid hormone groups.Mediation analysis was further conducted to elucidate the relationships among organochlorine exposures,inflammatory factors,and lung function.Results Bis(2-chloro-1-methylethyl)ether(BCIE),was negatively associated with forced vital capacity(FVC,–2.05%,95%CI:–3.11%to–0.97%),and associated with changes in inflammatory factors such as interleukin(IL)-2,IL-7,IL-8,and IL-13 in the low thyroid hormone group.The mediation analysis indicated a mediating effect of IL-2(15.63%,95%CI:0.91%to 44.64%)and IL-13(13.94%,95%CI:0.52%to 41.07%)in the association between BCIE exposure and FVC.Conclusion Lung function and inflammatory factors exhibited an increased sensitivity to organochlorine exposure at lower thyroid hormone levels,with inflammatory factors potentially mediating the adverse effects of organochlorines on lung function.展开更多

The effects of LBZ injection on macrophage phagocytotic function and natural killer cells cytotoxicity were examined by means of macrophage to phagocytize cock erythrocyte and measurement of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) activity released from the damaged cells, respectively.Results: The LBZ injection could not only enhance the phagocytosis activity of peritoneal macrophage from guinea pig to phagocytosis cock erythrocytes, but also augment the cytotoxicity mediated by natural killer cells from PBMCs.Conclusion: Andrographolide is an immunostimulant agent which can modulate both antigen specific and nonspecific immune function by means of its natural killer cells, macrophage and cytokines.展开更多

文摘MAX series materials,as non-van der Waals layered multi-element compounds,contribute remarkable regulated properties and functional dimension,combining the features of metal and ceramic materials due to their inherently laminated crystal structure that Mn+1Xn slabs are intercalated with A element layers.Oriented to the functional requirements of information,intelligence,electrification,and aerospace in the new era,how to accelerate MAX series materials into new quality productive forces?The systematic enhancement of knowledge about MAX series materials is intrinsic to understanding its low-dimensional geometric structure characteristics,and physical and chemical properties,revealing the correlation of composition,structure,and function and further realizing rational design based on simulation and prediction.Diversity also brings complexity to MAX materials research.This review provides substantial tabular information on(Ⅰ)MAX’s research timeline from 1960 to the present,(Ⅱ)structure diversity and classification convention,(Ⅲ)synthesis route exploration,(Ⅳ)prediction based on theory and machine learning,(Ⅴ)properties,and(Ⅵ)functional applications.Herein,the researchers can quickly locate research content and recognize connections and differences of MAX series materials.In addition,the research challenges for the future development of MAX series materials are highlighted.

文摘For non-stationary complex dynamic systems,a standardized algorithm is developed to compute time correlation functions,addressing the limitations of traditional methods reliant on the stationary assumption.The proposed algorithm integrates two-point and multi-point time correlation functions into a unified framework.Further,it is verified by a practical application in complex financial systems,demonstrating its potential in various complex dynamic systems.
文摘The application of generative artificial intelligence(GAI)in the judicial domain represents an innovative approach to achieving digital justice.GAI’s functionalities are primarily exhibited in the enhancement of judicial efficiency,improving the accuracy and fairness of adjudications,promoting the uniform application of the law,and enhancing transparency and engagement in judicial processes.However,these advancements are accompanied by potential risks and challenges in technology,adjudication,and ethics.It is thus essential to strengthen privacy protection during the processing and transmission of data,ensure data security and confidentiality,and establish and refine clear legal norms regarding the roles,responsibilities,and legal obligations of GAI in judicial settings.In addition,ethical guidelines that delineate the behavioral boundaries and value orientations of GAI need to be formulated.Collectively,these elements can form a trinary model of technical controls,legal norms,and ethical constraints,to facilitate the modernization and intelligent development of the judicial system.

文摘In pursuit of low cost and long life for lithium-ion batteries in electric vehicles,the most promising strategy is to replace the commercial LiCoO_(2)with a high-energy-density Ni-rich cathode.However,the irreversible redox couples induce rapid capacity decay,poor long-term cycling life,vast gas evolution,and unstable structure transformations of the Ni-rich cathode,limiting its practical applications.Element doping has been considered as the most promising strategy for addressing these issues.However,the relationships between element doping functions and redox chemistry still remain confused.To clarify this connection,this review places the dynamic evolution of redox couples(Li^(*),Ni^(2+)/Ni^(3+)/Ni^(4+)-e^(-),O^(2-)/O^(n-)/O_(2)-e^(-))as the tree trunk.The material structure,degradation mechanisms,and addressing element doping strategies are considered as the tree branches.This comprehensive summary aims to provide an overview of the current understanding and progress of Ni-rich cathode materials.In the last section,promising strategies based on element doping functions are provided to encourage the practical application of Ni-rich cathodes.These strategies also offer a new approach for the development of other intercalated electrode materials in Na and K-based battery systems.

文摘Objective To examine the mechanistic of organochlorine-associated changes in lung function.Methods This study investigated 76 healthy older adults in Jinan,Shandong Province,over a fivemonth period.Personal exposure to organochlorines was quantified using wearable passive samplers,while inflammatory factors and thyroid hormones were analyzed from blood samples.Participants’lung function was evaluated.After stratifying participants according to their thyroid hormone levels,we analyzed the differential effects of organochlorine exposure on lung function and inflammatory factors across the low and high thyroid hormone groups.Mediation analysis was further conducted to elucidate the relationships among organochlorine exposures,inflammatory factors,and lung function.Results Bis(2-chloro-1-methylethyl)ether(BCIE),was negatively associated with forced vital capacity(FVC,–2.05%,95%CI:–3.11%to–0.97%),and associated with changes in inflammatory factors such as interleukin(IL)-2,IL-7,IL-8,and IL-13 in the low thyroid hormone group.The mediation analysis indicated a mediating effect of IL-2(15.63%,95%CI:0.91%to 44.64%)and IL-13(13.94%,95%CI:0.52%to 41.07%)in the association between BCIE exposure and FVC.Conclusion Lung function and inflammatory factors exhibited an increased sensitivity to organochlorine exposure at lower thyroid hormone levels,with inflammatory factors potentially mediating the adverse effects of organochlorines on lung function.
文摘Here we complete our work on the asymptotics of Hankel determinants studying the case wherein the entries are “ultrarapidly”-varying functions in the sense that their logarithms are rapidly varying. Moreover, the last results in the paper highlight analogies between algebraic identities for Hankelians with special entries and asymptotic relations valid for large classes of entries.

文摘In this paper,we study a class of Sturm-Liouville problems,where the boundary conditions involve eigenparameters.Firstly,by defining a new inner product which depends on the transmission conditions,we obtain a new Hilbert space,on which the concerned operator A is self-adjoint.Then we construct the fundamental solutions to the problem,obtain the necessary and sufficient conditions for eigenvalues,and prove that the eigenvalues are simple.Finally,we investigate Green’s functions of such problem.

文摘In this paper,we study composition operators on weighted Bergman spaces of Dirichlet series.We first establish some Littlewood-type inequalities for generalized mean counting functions.Then we give sufficient conditions for a composition operator with zero characteristic to be bounded or compact on weighted Bergman spaces of Dirichlet series.The corresponding sufficient condition for compactness in the case of positive characteristics is also obtained.

文摘This paper systematically introduces the extraction process of the active components from the essential oil of Melaleuca alternifolia,elucidates the biological functions of these active components,and summarizes their applications in agricultural pest control.Furthermore,the paper examines the future developmental directions of M.alternifolia essential oil in pest control,along with the current challenges associated with its application.The aim is to offer insights for future research on botanical essential oils,particularly regarding their biological functions and applications in agricultural pest control.
文摘The present study aims to establish a literature review on intervention programs for executive functions(EFs)through the use of fundamental motor skills,from a neuropsychopedagogical perspective in subjects with Developmental Coordination Disorder(DCD).An exploratory study was carried out through an integrative literature review.The research was carried out in the Scientific databases Electronic Library Online(SciELO),Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences(LILACS),Virtual Health Library-Psychology Brazil(BVSPSI),Electronic Journals of Psychology(PePSIC),in the periodicals available in the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations(BDTD)and on the website of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel(CAPES).The covering publications took place from 2018 to 2023,14 articles were selected for analysis.This literature review made it possible to create strategies for stimulating EF and Visuomotor Functions so that educators and other professionals can better deal with students with DCD.It was perceived the need to carry out and develop more empirical research regarding the intervention of EFs and Visuomotor Functions by educators and professionals,with a greater sampling amplitude,to increase the number of studies that enable interventions both in children and in teenagers with DCD.
文摘Objective: To study the effects of andrographolide on immune functions and the immune mechanism in clinical therapy.Methods: The amounts of IFN-α,IFN-γ, TNF-α, IL-8 in the peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) culture supernatants dealt with by different concentrations of LianBiZhi (LBZ) injection, the effective component of which is andrographolide, were detected by biological activity test or ELISA in vitro. The effects of LBZ injection on macrophage phagocytotic function and natural killer cells cytotoxicity were examined by means of macrophage to phagocytize cock erythrocyte and measurement of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) activity released from the damaged cells, respectively.Results: The LBZ injection could not only enhance the phagocytosis activity of peritoneal macrophage from guinea pig to phagocytosis cock erythrocytes, but also augment the cytotoxicity mediated by natural killer cells from PBMCs.Conclusion: Andrographolide is an immunostimulant agent which can modulate both antigen specific and nonspecific immune function by means of its natural killer cells, macrophage and cytokines.
