When an underground structure passes through a liquefiable soil layer,the soil liquefaction may pose a significant threat to the structure.A centrifuge shaking table test was performed to research the seismic response of underground structures in liquefiable interlayer sites,and a valid numerical model was obtained through simulation model test.Finally,the calibrated numerical model was used to perform further research on the influence of various distribution characteristics of liquefiable interlayers on the seismic reaction of underground structures.The key findings are as follows.The structure faces the most unfavorable condition once a liquefiable layer is located in the middle of the underground structure.When a liquefiable layer exists in the middle of the structure,the seismic reactions of both the underground structure and model site will increase with the rise of the thickness of the liquefiable interlayer.The inter-story drift of the structure in the non-liquefiable site is much smaller than that in the liquefiable interlayer site.The inter-story drift of the structure is not only associated with the site displacement and the soil-structure stiffness ratio but also closely associated with the slippage of the soil-structure contact interface under the condition of large deformation of the site. 展开更多

Adopting a soft site model built on soft interlayer soil foundation,a shaking table test for soft interlayer soil-isolated structure interaction is conducted to investigate the seismic response of isolated structure on soft site,and analyze its isolation effect.Test results show that the test can reflect the earthquake response characteristics of isolated structure on soft site.It is on soft site that the dynamic characteristics of isolated structure,acceleration magnification factor(AMF)of isolated structure and isolation efficiency of the isolation layer differ from those on rigid foundation with an soil-structure interaction(SSI)effect,represented by the reduction in fundamental vibration frequency of isolated structure and the increase of damping ratio with changes of the SSI effect.SSI can either increase or decrease AMF of isolated structure on soft site,depending on the characteristics of earthquake motion input.Furthermore,the isolation efficiency of isolation layer on soft site is decreased with the SSI effect,which is related to the peak ground acceleration(PGA)and the characteristics of earthquake motion input. 展开更多

The success of the tuned mass damper (TMD) in reducing wind-induced structural vibrations has been well established. However, from most of the recent numerical studies, it appears that for a structure situated on very soft soil, soil-structure interaction (SSI) could render a damper on the structure totally ineffective. In order to experimentally verify the SSI effect on the seismic performance of TMD, a series of shaking table model tests have been conducted and the results are presented in this paper. It has been shown that the TMD is not as effective in controlling the seismic responses of structures built on soft soil sites due to the SSI effect. Some test results also show that a TMD device might have a negative impact if the SSI effect is neglected and the structure is built on a soft soil site. For structures constructed on a soil foundation, this research verifies that the SSI effect must be carefully understood before a TMD control system is designed to determine if the control is necessary and if the SSI effect must be considered when choosing the optimal parameters of the TMD device. 展开更多

Taizhou Bridge is the first kilometer level three-pylon two-span suspension bridge in the world and the structural complexity has significant effects on the seismic performance of the bridge. Shaking table test of Taizhou Bridge is arranged to investigate the effects of non-uniform ground motion input, collision between main and side spans and optimal seismic structural system. It's very important and difficult to design and manufacture the scaled down model of Taizhou Bridge used during the shaking table test. The key point is that the girder and pylons are very hard to be manufactured if the similarity ratio is strictly followed. Based on the finite element method (FEM) analysis, a simplified scaled down model is designed and the bending stiffness of the girder and pylon are strictly simulated, and the torsion stiffness and axial stiffness are not strictly simulated. The inner forces and displacements of critical sections, points of simplified model and theoretical model are compared by FEM analysis, and it's found out that the difference between the seismic responses is relatively small. So, the simplified model can be used to conduct the shaking table test by the FEM verification. 展开更多

A wind turbine system equipped with a tuned liquid column damper (TLCD) is comprehensively studied via shaking table tests using a 1/13-scaled model. The effects of wind and wave actions are considered by inputting response- equivalent accelerations on the shaking table. The test results show that the control effect of the TLCD system is significant in reducing the responses under both wind-wave equivalent loads and ground motions, but obviously varies for different inputs, Further, a blade-hub-tower integrated numerical model for the wind turbine system is established. The model is capable of considering the rotational effect of blades by combining Kane's equation with the finite element method. The responses of the wind tower equipped with TLCD devices are numerically obtained and compared to the test results, showing that under both controlled and uncontrolled conditions with and without blades' rotation, the corresponding responses exhibit good agreement. This demonstrates that the proposed numerical model performs well in capturing the wind-wave coupled response of the offshore wind turbine systems under control. Both numerical and experimental results show that the TLCD system can significantly reduce the structural response and thus improve the safety and serviceability of the offshore wind turbine tower systems. Additional issues that require further study are discussed. 展开更多

Many single-tower reinforced concrete core wall-steel frame (RCC-SF) buildings have been built in China, but there are no buildings of different-height multi-tower hybrid system. A multi-tower RCC-SF tall building was thus studied because of its structural complexity and irregularity. First, a 1/15 scaled model structure was designed and tested on the shake table under minor, moderate, and major earthquake levels. Then, the dynamic responses of the model structure were interpreted to those of the prototype structure according to the similitude theory. Experimental results demonstrate that, despite the complexity of the structure, the lateral deformation bends as the "bending type" and the RC core walls contribute more than the steel frames to resist seismic loads. The maximum inter-story drift of the complex building under minor earthquakes is slightly beyond the elastic limitation specified in the Chinese code, and meets code requirements under major earthquakes. From the test results some suggestions are provided that could contribute favorable effect on the seismic behavior and the displacement of the building. 展开更多

The model test of seismic simulation shaking table is an important method to study the seismic design of bridge structure. In order to evaluate the seismic response and dynamic characteristics of pile-water-pier system for developing more reliable design procedures, shaking table model tests of a submerged bridge pier system, including pile groups-cap-pier and inertia mass, were conducted. Since different similitude laws corresponding to different test objectives affected the validity of test results, the similitude law with the aim to consider the effect of hydrodynamic pressure was proposed and confirmed through an actual example. Based on the test results, the effect of water around model on seismic response under seismic excitation input was analyzed and the failure level was judged by observing the variation of basic frequency. The test results indicate that the transfer function of analytical model with water is different from that without water, the natural frequency without water is always higher than that with water, and the first modal shapes are various. It is also concluded that the similitude law is suitable for practical application and the dynamic characteristics and seismic response of the structure system can be changed because of the existence of the surrounding water, which should be paid much attention in the further investigation. 展开更多

To understand the deformational behaviours of geosynthetics-reinforced soil retaining walls(GRS RWs),a series of plane-strain shaking table tests was conducted on retaining wall models.The backfill of the models was made of poorly graded gravel.Deformations and strains in the gravelly backfill induced by seismic loading are recorded in real time,which are of importance to understand the seismic strength and stability of the GRS RW systems,as strain localisation development in the backfill and foundation is related to the degree of strength degradation of the system.In the present study,we aimed at quantifying the induced deformations of the GRS RW models due to shaking.Digital image correlation(DIC)technique was then employed to analyse and provide full-field deformation and motion images with the models.It is demonstrated that,unlike conventional contact devices that are yet limited to provide quantities of a singular and fixed location,DIC provides deformation and motion of the area of interests to reveal the evolution of localisation. 展开更多

强震作用下岩石场地群洞地铁车站试验研究

为探究岩石场地群洞地铁车站在地震作用下的动力特性,设计了一个比尺1∶30的群洞地铁车站结构的大型振动台试验模型,通过采用横向输入峰值加速度0.07g、0.15g、0.21g、0.30g、0.50g、0.70g和1.0g等7个不同强度的人工地震波,研究了群洞... 为探究岩石场地群洞地铁车站在地震作用下的动力特性,设计了一个比尺1∶30的群洞地铁车站结构的大型振动台试验模型,通过采用横向输入峰值加速度0.07g、0.15g、0.21g、0.30g、0.50g、0.70g和1.0g等7个不同强度的人工地震波,研究了群洞地铁车站在强震作用下的加速度响应特征、位移响应特征、结构破坏模式和动应变响应特征。结果表明:阿里亚斯强度(Arias Intensity)的放大系数曲线揭示,模型围岩和站厅衬砌结构在峰值加速度0.5g后进入塑性破坏状态;站台衬砌结构在峰值加速度0.3g后从塑性状态逐步进入破坏状态,同时能量耗散逐渐增加。随着地震动强度的增大,站厅横断面的相对位移增幅显著,开口断面与非开口断面的相对位移峰值差距进一步扩大。结构的裂缝主要分布在纵向,站台直墙中部纵向裂缝宽且长,而站厅直墙中部未产生明显裂缝。结构传递函数的主频随着地震动强度逐渐减小,在弹性阶段和塑性破坏阶段,结构主频分别为22.7、18.5 Hz。当地震动横向激励时,VL断面相同位置的拉应变均大于HR断面,最大拉应变出现在竖向联络通道的下断面拱肩处。 展开更多

1g振动台试验(g为重力加速度)是指在常规重力条件下开展的振动台试验,是目前开展振动台试验的主流类型。在区分严格相似模型、应变失真模型的基础上,以控制方程法为主、量纲分析法为辅,从理论上推导了岩质边坡1g振动台试验中不同变形演... 1g振动台试验(g为重力加速度)是指在常规重力条件下开展的振动台试验,是目前开展振动台试验的主流类型。在区分严格相似模型、应变失真模型的基础上,以控制方程法为主、量纲分析法为辅,从理论上推导了岩质边坡1g振动台试验中不同变形演化阶段这两种相似模型与原型间的相似关系,并确立了模型与原型达到相似所需的关键参数。通过开展数值试验,从岩质边坡固有振动特性和动力响应特征两个方面验证并评价前述建立起来的不同变形演化阶段、不同相似模型的相似关系。结果表明:利用严格相似模型以及应变失真模型均能推算出原型边坡的自振特性以及地震荷载下弹性变形阶段的动力响应特性;而在涉及大变形问题时,应使应变相似比接近或等于1。研究成果可为岩质边坡1g振动台试验相似关系设计、相似模型的选取提供参考。 展开更多

To identify the model structure parameters in shaking table tests from seismic response, especially from time- varying response records, this paper presents a new methodology by combining the online recursive Adaptive Forgetting through Multiple Models (AFMM) and offtine Auto-Regression with eXogenous variables (ARX) model. First, the AFMM is employed to detect whether the response of model structure is time-invariant or time-varying when subjected to strong motions. Second, if the response is time-invariant, the modal parameters are identified from the entire response record, such as the acceleration time-history using the ARX model. If the response is time-varying, the acceleration record is divided into three segments according to the accurate time-varying points detected by AFMM, and parameters are identified by only using the tail segment data, which is time-invariant and suited for analysis by the ARX model. Finally, the changes in dynamic properties due to various strong motions are obtained using the presented methodology. The feasibility and advantages of the method are demonstrated by identifying the modal parameters of a 12-story reinforced concrete (RC) frame structure in a shaking table test. 展开更多

To illustrate the efficiency of the proposed control system, model tests on a mini-electromagnetic shaking table and a numerical simulation were performed. 地震作用下贮料对仓壁产生的动态侧压力是影响散粮楼房仓结构安全的一个重要因素。为此,该研究设计制作了缩尺比例为1:25的三层楼房仓试验模型,进行了3条地震波下不同加载等级的振动台试验,分析获得了贮料地震反应特性、仓壁动态侧压力... 地震作用下贮料对仓壁产生的动态侧压力是影响散粮楼房仓结构安全的一个重要因素。为此,该研究设计制作了缩尺比例为1:25的三层楼房仓试验模型,进行了3条地震波下不同加载等级的振动台试验,分析获得了贮料地震反应特性、仓壁动态侧压力变化规律及超压系数,提出了仓壁动态侧压力计算方法。研究表明:不同楼层同一高度处仓壁动态侧压力达到峰值的时间不同步,沿楼房仓高度方向逐步滞后,且其均滞后于对应楼层仓壁加速度峰值时刻;各楼层仓壁动态侧压力逐层增大,每升高一层,增大约29%,且同一楼层的仓壁动态侧压力沿高度逐渐增大,仓壁上部、中部动态侧压力分别是下部的2.5倍、1.4倍;一、二、三层的超压系数最大值依次为2.9、3.4、4.1,且均位于每层仓壁上部位置;通过试验结果验证了所提出的仓壁动态侧压力计算方法的有效性;散粮楼房仓结构抗震设计,应考虑仓壁动态侧压力的影响与不同楼层的差异性。研究成果可为散粮楼房仓的抗震设计提供参考。 展开更多

为了探索鱼线固定梅瓶文物在实际博物馆的地震响应以及抗震效果,首先选取了典型梅瓶文物,并在三层钢筋混凝土框架结构中开展了24种地震工况的振动台试验,然后建立了上述试验所用梅瓶文物的有限元模型,验证了有限元模型的准确性,最后采... 为了探索鱼线固定梅瓶文物在实际博物馆的地震响应以及抗震效果,首先选取了典型梅瓶文物,并在三层钢筋混凝土框架结构中开展了24种地震工况的振动台试验,然后建立了上述试验所用梅瓶文物的有限元模型,验证了有限元模型的准确性,最后采用增量动力分析法分析了该文物在两种常见直径鱼线保护措施下的运动响应。结果表明:鱼线固定梅瓶文物在地震作用下会产生滑移、摇摆、倾覆以及鱼线断裂等现象;不同楼层下的文物响应差别较大,尤其在大震作用下,高楼层的鱼线固定梅瓶文物易发生倾覆和鱼线断裂破坏,要重视高楼层文物的震前保护措施;在较强的地震作用下,仅依靠增大鱼线直径有时对控制文物的倾覆情况起不到关键性决定作用,需要进一步采取其它措施对文物进行保护。 展开更多

为研究厚板转换全框支剪力墙结构的整体抗震性能,并检验该结构转换厚板的有效性,在重庆大学土木工程学院振动台实验室开展了缩尺模型结构的模拟地震振动台试验,试验对象为某36层车辆段上盖建筑。本文阐述了厚板转换全框支剪力墙结构振... 为研究厚板转换全框支剪力墙结构的整体抗震性能,并检验该结构转换厚板的有效性,在重庆大学土木工程学院振动台实验室开展了缩尺模型结构的模拟地震振动台试验,试验对象为某36层车辆段上盖建筑。本文阐述了厚板转换全框支剪力墙结构振动台试验中模型的设计过程;介绍了测点布置与加载方案;对比分析了不同抽层简化方案对结构的影响。研究结果表明,对于厚板转换全框支剪力墙结构,抽层后依据刚度与强度等效原则调整构件截面能有效降低简化模型与原型的误差;抽层起始位置应被保证距离试验重点研究楼层不低于3层;连续抽层层数为1层时误差最小,建议选择连续抽层层数为1层。 展开更多

基于Bockinghamπ定理,对具有建筑桩基的顺层岩质边坡桩锚支护体系开展振动台模型试验,通过分析预应力锚索、建筑桩基的应变以及边坡坡顶加速度,研究支护体系的动力响应规律。结果表明,预应力锚索的应变在地震波加速度达到峰值时达到最... 基于Bockinghamπ定理,对具有建筑桩基的顺层岩质边坡桩锚支护体系开展振动台模型试验,通过分析预应力锚索、建筑桩基的应变以及边坡坡顶加速度,研究支护体系的动力响应规律。结果表明,预应力锚索的应变在地震波加速度达到峰值时达到最大值,且上排锚索受力大于下排锚索,随着地震幅值的增大,最上排锚索锚固段率先发生滑移破坏失去锚固作用;建筑桩基应变最大值点位于滑动面以下一定深度,且远离边坡坡面的建筑桩基受力大于邻近边坡坡面的建筑桩基;坡顶各点峰值加速度随地震波幅值增大整体表现为线性增大,但在Wenchuan-Wolong波(0.55g)和Sin波(0.4g)工况时,各点峰值加速度相对有所下降,随着地震波幅值增大,各点峰值加速度放大系数在汶川波和正弦波作用下并非单调变化,而是表现为先减小后增大波动变化特点。 展开更多

为了研究斜拉输水管桥的抗震性能,以某大跨径多塔斜拉输水管桥为对象,根据相似理论设计缩尺比为1∶20的等代试验模型,开展振动台试验研究.从不同地震波、不同台面输入地面峰值加速度以及空满管工况等多个角度探究斜拉输水管桥地震响应... 为了研究斜拉输水管桥的抗震性能,以某大跨径多塔斜拉输水管桥为对象,根据相似理论设计缩尺比为1∶20的等代试验模型,开展振动台试验研究.从不同地震波、不同台面输入地面峰值加速度以及空满管工况等多个角度探究斜拉输水管桥地震响应与抗震性能.采用试验与数值模拟相结合的方法,系统分析大跨径斜拉输水管桥的抗震性能.结果表明,E1地震下结构保持弹性;E2地震下部分钢筋进入屈服,混凝土出现裂缝但结构整体安全.纵桥向地震输入时,考虑流固耦合效应的满管工况相较于空管工况的地震响应增幅小于仅采用附加质量模拟水体时的响应增幅;横桥向地震输入时的结果相反. 展开更多
