The transmission line tower will be affected by bad weather and artificial subsidence caused by the foundation and other factors in the power transmission.The tower’s tilt and severe deformation will cause the building to collapse.Many small changes caused the tower’s collapse,but the early staff often could not intuitively notice the changes in the tower’s state.In the current tower online monitoring system,terminal equipment often needs to replace batteries frequently due to premature exhaustion of power.According to the need for real-time measurement of power line tower,this research designed a real-time monitoring device monitoring the transmission tower attitude tilting and foundation state based on the inertial sensor,the acceleration of 3 axis inertial sensor and angular velocity raw data to pole average filtering pre-processing,and then through the complementary filtering algorithm for comprehensive calculation of tilt angle,the system meets the demand for inclined online monitoring of power line poles and towers regarding measurement accuracy,with low cost and power consumption.The optimization multi-sensor cooperative detection and correction measured tilt angle result relative accuracy can reach 1.03%,which has specific promotion and application value since the system has the advantages of unattended and efficient calculation. 展开更多

In order to address the issue of sensor configuration redundancy in intelligent driving,this paper constructs a multi-objective optimization model that considers cost,coverage ability,and perception performance.And then,combining a specific set of parameters,the NSGA-II algorithm is used to solve the multi-objective model established in this paper,and a Pareto front containing 24 typical configuration schemes is extracted after considering empirical constraints.Finally,using the decision preference method proposed in this paper that combines subjective and objective factors,decision scores are calculated and ranked for various configuration schemes from both cost and performance preferences.The research results indicate that the multi-objective optimization model established in this paper can screen and optimize various configuration schemes from the optimal principle of the vehicle,and the optimized configuration schemes can be quantitatively ranked to obtain the decision results for the vehicle under different preference tendencies. 展开更多

With the development of unmanned driving technology,intelligent robots and drones,high-precision localization,navigation and state estimation technologies have also made great progress.Traditional global navigation satellite system/inertial navigation system(GNSS/INS)integrated navigation systems can provide high-precision navigation information continuously.However,when this system is applied to indoor or GNSS-denied environments,such as outdoor substations with strong electromagnetic interference and complex dense spaces,it is often unable to obtain high-precision GNSS positioning data.The positioning and orientation errors will diverge and accumulate rapidly,which cannot meet the high-precision localization requirements in large-scale and long-distance navigation scenarios.This paper proposes a method of high-precision state estimation with fusion of GNSS/INS/Vision using a nonlinear optimizer factor graph optimization as the basis for multi-source optimization.Through the collected experimental data and simulation results,this system shows good performance in the indoor environment and the environment with partial GNSS signal loss. 展开更多

The perception module of advanced driver assistance systems plays a vital role.Perception schemes often use a single sensor for data processing and environmental perception or adopt the information processing results of various sensors for the fusion of the detection layer.This paper proposes a multi-scale and multi-sensor data fusion strategy in the front end of perception and accomplishes a multi-sensor function disparity map generation scheme.A binocular stereo vision sensor composed of two cameras and a light deterction and ranging(LiDAR)sensor is used to jointly perceive the environment,and a multi-scale fusion scheme is employed to improve the accuracy of the disparity map.This solution not only has the advantages of dense perception of binocular stereo vision sensors but also considers the perception accuracy of LiDAR sensors.Experiments demonstrate that the multi-scale multi-sensor scheme proposed in this paper significantly improves disparity map estimation. 展开更多

The construction of high-precision urban rail maps is crucial for the safe and efficient operation of railway transportation systems.However,the repetitive features and sparse textures in urban rail environments pose challenges for map construction with high-precision.Motivated by this,this paper proposes a high-precision urban rail map construction algorithm based on multi-sensor fusion.The algorithm integrates laser radar and Inertial Measurement Unit(IMU)data to construct the geometric structure map of the urban rail.It utilizes image point-line features and color information to improve map accuracy by minimizing photometric errors and incorporating color information,thus generating high-precision maps.Experimental results on a real urban rail dataset demonstrate that the proposed algorithm achieves root mean square errors of 0.345 and 1.033m for ground and tunnel scenes,respectively,representing a 19.31%and 56.80%improvement compared to state-ofthe-art methods. 展开更多

Although laser powder bed fusion(LPBF)technology is considered one of the most promising additive man-ufacturing techniques,the fabricated parts still suffer from porosity defects,which can severely impact their mechanical performance.Monitoring the printing process using a variety of sensors to collect process signals can realize a comprehensive capture of the processing status;thus,the monitoring accuracy can be improved.However,existing multi-sensing signals are mainly optical and acoustic,and camera-based signals are mostly layer-wise images captured after printing,preventing real-time monitoring.This paper proposes a real-time melt-pool-based in-situ quality monitoring method for LPBF using multiple sensors.High-speed cameras,photodiodes,and microphones were used to collect signals during the experimental process.All three types of signals were transformed from one-dimensional time-domain signals into corresponding two-dimensional grayscale images,which enabled the capture of more localized features.Based on an improved LeNet-5 model and the weighted Dempster-Shafer evidence theory,single-sensor,dual-sensor and triple-sensor fusion monitoring models were in-vestigated with the three types of signals,and their performances were compared.The results showed that the triple-sensor fusion monitoring model achieved the highest recognition accuracy,with accuracy rates of 97.98%,92.63%,and 100%for high-,medium-,and low-quality samples,respectively.Hence,a multi-sensor fusion based melt pool monitoring system can improve the accuracy of quality monitoring in the LPBF process,which has the potential to reduce porosity defects.Finally,the experimental analysis demonstrates that the convolutional neural network proposed in this study has better classification accuracy compared to other machine learning models. 展开更多

As the differences of sensor's precision and some random factors are difficult to control,the actual measurement signals are far from the target signals that affect the reliability and precision of rotating machinery fault diagnosis.The traditional signal processing methods,such as classical inference and weighted averaging algorithm usually lack dynamic adaptability that is easy for trends to cause the faults to be misjudged or left out.To enhance the measuring veracity and precision of vibration signal in rotary machine multi-sensor vibration signal fault diagnosis,a novel data level fusion approach is presented on the basis of correlation function analysis to fast determine the weighted value of multi-sensor vibration signals.The approach doesn't require knowing the prior information about sensors,and the weighted value of sensors can be confirmed depending on the correlation measure of real-time data tested in the data level fusion process.It gives greater weighted value to the greater correlation measure of sensor signals,and vice versa.The approach can effectively suppress large errors and even can still fuse data in the case of sensor failures because it takes full advantage of sensor's own-information to determine the weighted value.Moreover,it has good performance of anti-jamming due to the correlation measures between noise and effective signals are usually small.Through the simulation of typical signal collected from multi-sensors,the comparative analysis of dynamic adaptability and fault tolerance between the proposed approach and traditional weighted averaging approach is taken.Finally,the rotor dynamics and integrated fault simulator is taken as an example to verify the feasibility and advantages of the proposed approach,it is shown that the multi-sensor data level fusion based on correlation function weighted approach is better than the traditional weighted average approach with respect to fusion precision and dynamic adaptability.Meantime,the approach is adaptable and easy to use,can be applied to other areas of vibration measurement. 展开更多

The advantage of data fusion with the fuzzy neuralnetwork (FNN) technique has been probed. The two-level FNN is constructed and data fusion is carriedout. This paper presents some key techniques for multi-sensor integration system, which is applied to the intelligent transportation system industry and surveying and mapping industry, e.g. road surface condition detection, digital map making. The techniques are synchronization control of multi-sensor, space-time benchmark for sensor data, and multi-sensor data fusion and mining. Firstly, synchronization control of multi-sensor is achieved through a synchronization control system which is composed of a time synchronization controller and some synchronization sub-controllers. The time synchronization controller can receive GPS time information from GPS satellites, relative distance information from distance measuring instrument and send space-time information to the synchronization sub-controller. The latter can work at three types of synchronization mode, i.e. active synchronization, passive synchronization and time service synchronization. Secondly, space-time benchmark can be established based on GPS time and global reference coordinate system, and can be obtained through position and azimuth determining system and synchronization control system. Thirdly, there are many types of data fusion and mining, e.g. GPS/Gyro/DMI data fusion, data fusion between stereophotogrammetry and PADS, data fusion between laser scanner and PADS, and data fusion between CCD camera and laser scanner. Finally, all these solutions presented in paper have been applied to two areas, i.e. land-bone intelligent road detection and measurement system and 3D measurement system based on unmanned helicopter. Aiming at the effective realization of particle filter for maneuvering target tracking in multi-sensor measurements,a novel multi-sensor multiple model particle filtering algorithm with correlated noises is proposed.Combined with the kinetic evolution equation of target state,a multi-sensor multiple model particle filter is firstly constructed,which is also used as the basic framework of a new algorithm.In the new algorithm,in order to weaken the adverse influence from random measurement noises in the measuring process of particle weight,a weight optimization strategy is introduced to improve the reliability and stability of particle weight.In addition,considering the correlated noise existing in the practical engineering,a decoupling method of correlated noise is given by the rearrangement and transformation of the state transition equation and measurement equation.Since the weight optimization strategy and noise decoupling method adopt respectively the center fusion structure and the off-line way,it improves the adverse effect effectively on computational complexity for increasing state dimension and sensor number.Finally,the theoretical analysis and experimental results show the feasibility and efficiency of the proposed algorithm. 展开更多

Wireless sensor networks are increasingly used in sensitive event monitoring.However,various abnormal data generated by sensors greatly decrease the accuracy of the event detection.Although many methods have been proposed to deal with the abnormal data,they generally detect and/or repair all abnormal data without further differentiate.Actually,besides the abnormal data caused by events,it is well known that sensor nodes prone to generate abnormal data due to factors such as sensor hardware drawbacks and random effects of external sources.Dealing with all abnormal data without differentiate will result in false detection or missed detection of the events.In this paper,we propose a data cleaning approach based on Stacked Denoising Autoencoders(SDAE)and multi-sensor collaborations.We detect all abnormal data by SDAE,then differentiate the abnormal data by multi-sensor collaborations.The abnormal data caused by events are unchanged,while the abnormal data caused by other factors are repaired.Real data based simulations show the efficiency of the proposed approach. 展开更多

The pedestrian’s localization in indoor environment is described as dynamic system state estimation problem. The algorithm combines the smart mobile terminal with indoor localization, and filters the result of localization with the particle filter. In this paper, a dynamic interval particle filter algorithm based on pedestrian dead reckoning (PDR) information and RSSI localization information have been used to improve the filtering precision and the stability. Moreover, the localization results will be uploaded to the server in time, and the location fingerprint database will be built incrementally, which can adapt the dynamic changes of the indoor environment. Experimental results show that the algorithm based on multi-sensor improves the localization accuracy and robustness compared with the location algorithm based on Wi-Fi. 展开更多

Nakuru in the central Rift Valley of Kenya has undergone rapid urban growth in last decade. This paper focused on urban growth using multi-sensor satellite imageries and explored the potential benefits of combining data from optical sensors (Landsat, Worldview-2) with Radar sensor data from Advanced Land Observing Satellite (ALOS) Phased Array type L-band Synthetic Aperture Radar (PALSAR) data for urban land-use mapping. Landsat has sufficient spectral bands allowing for better delineation of urban green and impervious surface, Worldview-2 has a higher spatial resolution and facilitates urban growth mapping while PALSAR has higher temporal resolution compared to other operational sensors and has the capability of penetrating clouds irrespective of weather conditions and time of day, a condition prevalent in Nakuru, because it lies in a tropical area. Several classical and modern classifiers namely maximum likelihood (ML) and support vector machine (SVM) were applied for image classification and their performance assessed. The land-use data of the years 1986, 2000 and 2010 were compiled and analyzed using post classification comparison (PCC). The value of combining multi-temporal Landsat imagery and PALSAR was explored and achieved in this research. Our research illustrated that SVM algorithm yielded better results compared to ML. The integration of Landsat and ALOS PALSAR gave good results compared to when ALOS PAL- SAR was classified alone. 19.70 km2 of land changed to urban land-use from non-urban land-use between the years 2000 to 2010 indicating rapid urban growth has taken place.
