Some alloying elements have marked influence on Jominy end-quench curves of steels. An improved mathematical model for simulating the Jominy end-quench curves is proposed by introducing a parameter named alloying interactions equivalent (Le). With the improved model, the Jominy end-quench curves of steels so obtained agree very well with the experimental ones.展开更多

In order to numerically reproduce blow-up solutions, we propose a rule for a time-stepping,which is a variant of what was successfully used in the case of nonlinear parabolic equations. A numerical blow-up time is defined and is proved to converge, under a certain hypothesis, to the real blow-up time as the grid size tends to zero.展开更多

The traditional Navier-Stokes equation of fluid mechanics and Maxwell's electromagnetism governing equations are reduced to nonlinear ordinary differential equations to model the problem. The obtained results are well agreed with that of the Runge-Kutta method. The present plots confirm that the method has high accuracy for different a, Ha, and Re numbers. The flow field inside the divergent channel is studied for various values of Hartmann :number and angle of channel. The effect of nanoparticle volume fraction in the absence of magnetic field is investigated.展开更多

We give an error estimate of approximate solutions, and prove the convergence of the approximate method and numerical stability on initial values. Under certain conditions, which are much weaker than the conditions in [6], we gain the same convergence rate as in [6].展开更多

In this paper,we analyse the Nystrom solution of one-dimensional nonlinear Volterra integral equation of the second kind and show that approkimate solution admits an asymptotic error expansion in even powers of the step-size h, beginning with a term in h2. So that the Richardson's extrapolation can be done. This will increase the accuracy of numerical solution greatly.展开更多

Based on this method, all phase portraits of the system in the parametric space are given. All possible bounded travelling wave solutions such as solitary wave solutions and periodic travelling wave solutions are obtained. With the aid of Maple software, the numerical simulations are conducted for solitary wave solutions and periodic travelling wave solutions to the coupled nonlinear Schrdinger-KdV equations. The results show that the presented findings improve the related previous conclusions.展开更多

The efficiency and power of this approach are demonstrated by applying it successfully to some important fractional differential equations, namely, the time fractional Burgers, fractional Sawada–Kotera, and fractional coupled mKdV equation. A variety of new exact solutions to these equations under study are constructed.展开更多
