Using Pearson’s System of Curves to Approximate the Distributions of the Difference between Two Correlated Estimates of Signal-to-Noise Ratios: The Cases of Bivariate Normal and Bivariate Lognormal Distributions

Background: The signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is recognized as an index of measurements reproducibility. We derive the maximum likelihood estimators of SNR and discuss confidence interval construction on the difference between two correlated SNRs when the readings are from bivariate normal and bivariate lognormal distribution. We use the Pearsons system of curves to approximate the difference between the two estimates and use the bootstrap methods to validate the approximate distributions of the statistic of interest. Methods: The paper uses the delta method to find the first four central moments, and hence the skewness and kurtosis which are important in the determination of the parameters of the Pearsons distribution. Results: The approach is illustrated in two examples;one from veterinary microbiology and food safety data and the other on data from clinical medicine. We derived the four central moments of the target statistics, together with the bootstrap method to evaluate the parameters of Pearsons distribution. The fitted Pearsons curves of Types I and II were recommended based on the available data. The R-codes are also provided to be readily used by the readers. 展开更多

Stochastic resonance (SR) is studied in a gain-noise model of a single-mode laser driven by a coloured pump noise and a quantum noise with cross-correlation between real and imaginary parts under a direct signal modulation. By using a linear approximation method, we find that the SR appears during the variation of signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) separately with the pump noise self-correlation time τ, the noise correlation coefficient between the real part and the imaginary part of the quantum noise λq, the attenuation coefficient γ' and the deterministic steady-state intensity I0. In addition, it is found that the SR can be characterized not only by the dependence of SNR on the noise variables of and λq, but also by the dependence of SNR on the laser system variables of γ and I0. Thus our investigation extends the characteristic quantity of SR proposed before. 展开更多

A novel blind source separation (BSS) algorithm based on the combination of negentropy and signal noise ratio (SNR) is presented to solve the deficiency of the traditional independent component analysis (ICA) algorithm after the introduction of the principle and algorithm of ICA. The main formulas in the novel algorithm are elaborated and the idiographic steps of the algorithm are given. Then the computer simulation is used to test the performance of this algorithm. Both the traditional FastlCA algorithm and the novel ICA algorithm are applied to separate mixed signal data. Experiment results show the novel method has a better performance in separating signals than the traditional FastlCA algorithm based on negentropy. The novel algorithm could estimate the source signals from the mixed signals more precisely. 展开更多

Grating-based x-ray phase contrast imaging has the potential to be applied in future medical applications as it is compatible with both laboratory and synchrotron source. However, information retrieval methods are important because acquisition speed, scanning mode, image quality, and radiation dose depend on them. Phase-stepping (PS) is a widely used method to retrieve information, while angular signal radiography (ASR) is a newly established method. In this manuscript, signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs) of ASR are compared with that of PS. Numerical experiments are performed to validate theoretical results. SNRs comparison shows that for refraction and scattering images ASR has higher SNR than PS method, while for absorption image both methods have same SNR. Therefore, our conclusions would have guideline in future preclinical and clinical applications. 展开更多

Several Doppler shift estimators, including mean logarithm envelope difference (MLED) method, auto-correlation function (ACF) method, zero crossing rate (ZCR) method and mean square phase difference (MSPD) method were discussed and compared. The estimation principle and theoretical estimation bias of these estimators under Rayleigh fading channels were analyzed; furthermore, the Cramer Rao bound (CRB) of Doppler shift estimation was deduced, and a novel modification method based on two-dimensional polynomial fitting was proposed to reduce the Doppler shift estimation bias. We verified our algorithms with the Monte Carlo computer simulation; simulation results showed better variance performance of modified methods than those of the original methods. 声波在深海中远距离传播时海水吸收、扩展导致传播损失大,接收到的声波能量非常小,同时受到航船风浪等强噪声干扰,声波信号的信噪比非常低。在低信噪比的情况下,信号增强、信号降噪等数据处理方法的效果均降低,对水下目标定位、检测和... 声波在深海中远距离传播时海水吸收、扩展导致传播损失大,接收到的声波能量非常小,同时受到航船风浪等强噪声干扰,声波信号的信噪比非常低。在低信噪比的情况下,信号增强、信号降噪等数据处理方法的效果均降低,对水下目标定位、检测和识别造成很大影响。该文针对水下目标低信噪比定位问题,应用全卷积时域网络,基于信号幅度和相位的解耦,提出了一种快速信噪分离方法。该方法利用了端到端时域分离的深度学习框架,通过线性编码器编码信号,编码之后的信号波形可以通过一组加权函数分离出信号和噪声,最后再使用线性编码器将分离后的信号反转到时域进行目标定位。通过数据仿真验证了该方法的可行性,并对海上实验数据进行处理,取得较好结果。 展开更多

Based on the characteristics of primary modulus and stochastic white noise discrimination factor of wavelet decomposition, we analyze the variation rule of normal background and noise data from Shandong digital deformation observation data. The research results indicate that: a) 1/4 daily wave, semi-diurnal tide wave, daily wave and half lunar wave and so on quasi-periodic signal exist in the detail decomposing signal of wavelet when scale are equal to 2, 3 and 4; b) The amplitude of detail decomposing signal is the biggest when scale is equal to 3; c) The detail decomposing signal contains mainly noise corresponding to scale 1 and 5, respectively; d) We may trace the abnormal precursory which is related to earthquake by analyzing non-earthquake wavelet decomposing signal whose scale is specified from digital deformation observation data. 展开更多

劣化润滑脂对新能源汽车电机轴承性能的影响

为研究不同劣化时期润滑脂对新能源汽车电机轴承性能的影响,并选取合适的润滑脂,采用试验的方法,研究了两种候选润滑脂及其对轴承性能的影响。首先,采用静态热劣化法获得了21组不同劣化时期的润滑脂样品,并分析了润滑脂样品的锥入度、... 为研究不同劣化时期润滑脂对新能源汽车电机轴承性能的影响,并选取合适的润滑脂,采用试验的方法,研究了两种候选润滑脂及其对轴承性能的影响。首先,采用静态热劣化法获得了21组不同劣化时期的润滑脂样品,并分析了润滑脂样品的锥入度、分油率等特性变化;然后,在考虑轴承工况的基础上,利用高速轴承漏脂温升性能试验机等设备试验研究了不同劣化时间润滑脂对轴承漏脂、温升、振动和噪音等性能的影响;最后,综合分析了润滑脂的劣化及其对轴承性能的影响,为新能源汽车电机轴承选择了合适的润滑脂。研究结果表明:A型润滑脂的性能更稳定,其非工作锥入度变化率为32.53%,分油率在0~0.053%范围内波动,其特性变化均小于B型润滑脂;两种劣化润滑脂均导致轴承外圈温度升高、轴承振动速度和噪音增大,但B型润滑脂对轴承振动速度和噪音的影响较大,其部分高频增加900%、噪音升高27%。因此,综合考虑润滑脂的分油率、锥入度,以及润滑脂对轴承温升、振动和噪音等使用性能的影响,推荐A型润滑脂为新能源汽车电机轴承润滑介质。该研究结果对新能源汽车电机轴承润滑介质的选择具有较为重要指导意义。 展开更多

针对现有信号降噪方法在光纤布拉格光栅传感系统信号处理中存在的精度低和可靠性差等问题,基于光纤布拉格光栅传感原理,提出了一种结合自适应噪声完全集合经验模态分解(complete ensemble empirical mode decomposition with adaptive n... 针对现有信号降噪方法在光纤布拉格光栅传感系统信号处理中存在的精度低和可靠性差等问题,基于光纤布拉格光栅传感原理,提出了一种结合自适应噪声完全集合经验模态分解(complete ensemble empirical mode decomposition with adaptive noise,CEEMDAN)方法和S-G滤波方法的光纤布拉格光栅传感系统信号降噪方法。采用CEEMDAN方法对传感系统信号进行分解,对分解后的内涵模态分解(intrinsic mode functions,IMF)分量进行S-G滤波,并对滤波后的IMF分量进行重构。通过试验对多种含噪情况进行对比分析,验证了所提方法的可行性。结果表明,与传统的降噪方法相比,该方法具有更好的降噪性能,波长波动大幅降低超过90%,在信噪比(signal-to-noise radio,SNR)和峰值信噪比(peak signal-to-noise radio,PSNR)指标上提高1 dB左右,可以在保持传感信号细节特征的前提下有效地降低信号噪声,具有一定的实用价值。 展开更多

利用时空阵列混场源电磁法,对宜涪铁路孟家垭深埋隧道进行地质勘察。该方法整合了天然场及人工场源电磁勘探的优点,使用统一的理论模型和观测设备,一次布置可以采集远参考大地电磁、可控源大地电磁和广域大地电磁法三类勘探数据,极大地... 利用时空阵列混场源电磁法,对宜涪铁路孟家垭深埋隧道进行地质勘察。该方法整合了天然场及人工场源电磁勘探的优点,使用统一的理论模型和观测设备,一次布置可以采集远参考大地电磁、可控源大地电磁和广域大地电磁法三类勘探数据,极大地提高了野外工作效率及勘探精度。使用针对强干扰区所设计的抗干扰算法进行精细去噪工作,最终采用非线性共轭梯度法(NLCG)和横向约束拟二维(LCI)方法进行反演,得到了与地质资料吻合的反演成果。同时结合既有地质资料,推断孟家垭隧道的浅部地层为层状、低电阻率的二叠系栖霞组灰岩夹煤质地层;深部地层为灰岩、页岩和石英砂岩;在测段中部(地表里程CK172+875段)存在1处断层,周围岩体较破碎。该勘探成果对促进隧道下一步安全施工具有重要意义。 展开更多

Under joint consideration in time domain (TD) and frequency domain (FD), a method on SSN with high accuracy is derived and a matched algorithm is designed and analyzed. A novel searching-and-averaging method in time domain (SAMTD) is proposed. It can solve a kind of problems that are very hard to solve by using sparse representation in frequency domain. Bypassing the disadvantages of traditional clustering (e.g., K-means or potential-function clustering), the durative- sparsity of a speech signal in time domain is used. To recover the mixing matrix, our method deletes those samples, which are not in the same or inverse direction of the basis vectors. To recover the sources, an improved geometric approach to overcomplete ICA (Independent Component Analysis) is presented. Several speech signal experiments demonstrate the good performance of the proposed method. 展开更多

Combining the traditional direction finding technique of MUltiple SIgnal Classification (MUSIC) with the focusing matrix method, we improve the resolving power of the microphone array for multiple speech sources.As one application of finding Direction of Arrival (DOA), a new microphone-array system for noise reduction is proposed. The new system is based on maximum likelihood estimate technique which reconstruct superimposed signals from different directions by using DOA information. 不透水面的分布规模和空间格局是影响区域生态系统和环境变化的重要指标。该研究基于LandsatOLI遥感影像,以长株潭主城区核心区为研究区域,进行了归一化建筑指数法、归一化差值不透水面指数法和最小噪声分离结合支持向量机分类法3种方... 不透水面的分布规模和空间格局是影响区域生态系统和环境变化的重要指标。该研究基于LandsatOLI遥感影像,以长株潭主城区核心区为研究区域,进行了归一化建筑指数法、归一化差值不透水面指数法和最小噪声分离结合支持向量机分类法3种方法提取不透水面信息的综合比较。结果表明:MNF结合SVM方法步骤相对较多,在选取端元和去除水体掩膜等方面都存在人工干涉,受人工影响较大;归一化建筑指数法虽然能快速地提取不透水面,但存在裸土与不透水面混淆的情况;而归一化差值不透水面指数法可有效区分裸土与不透水面,提取精度高于其他2种方法。最终选择归一化差值不透水面指数法,提取研究区2013年、2015年的不透水面信息,分析了其空间格局和扩展情况。 展开更多

变压器带电故障诊断对于保证电力变压器安全平稳运行具有重要的意义。针对变压器工作环境复杂且单一参数表征变压器故障类型不全面的问题,文中提出一种基于自适应噪声完备集合经验模态分解(complete ensemble empirical mode decomposit... 变压器带电故障诊断对于保证电力变压器安全平稳运行具有重要的意义。针对变压器工作环境复杂且单一参数表征变压器故障类型不全面的问题,文中提出一种基于自适应噪声完备集合经验模态分解(complete ensemble empirical mode decomposition with adaptive noise,CEEMDAN)和特征熵权法(entropy weight method,EWM)进行故障诊断的方法。通过相关系数与峭度加权(correlation coefficient and weighted kurtosis,CCWK)原则筛选CEEMDAN分量并重构信号,在实现剔除冗余分量的同时,提升变压器振动信号特征的表征能力;利用EWM构建特征判定系数实现单一数据诊断变压器故障类型;通过主成分分析法减小混合域特征尺度,采用鸡群优化算法优化支持向量机(support vector machine,SVM)模型进行故障诊断。对某变电站110 kV三相油浸式变压器进行分析,结果表明与概率神经网络和SVM等变压器故障诊断方法相比,文中方法能在提前定性故障类型的同时,进一步提高变压器故障诊断的准确率与效率。 展开更多
