Current spatio-temporal action detection methods lack sufficient capabilities in extracting and comprehending spatio-temporal information. This paper introduces an end-to-end Adaptive Cross-Scale Fusion Encoder-Decoder (ACSF-ED) network to predict the action and locate the object efficiently. In the Adaptive Cross-Scale Fusion Spatio-Temporal Encoder (ACSF ST-Encoder), the Asymptotic Cross-scale Feature-fusion Module (ACCFM) is designed to address the issue of information degradation caused by the propagation of high-level semantic information, thereby extracting high-quality multi-scale features to provide superior features for subsequent spatio-temporal information modeling. Within the Shared-Head Decoder structure, a shared classification and regression detection head is constructed. A multi-constraint loss function composed of one-to-one, one-to-many, and contrastive denoising losses is designed to address the problem of insufficient constraint force in predicting results with traditional methods. This loss function enhances the accuracy of model classification predictions and improves the proximity of regression position predictions to ground truth objects. The proposed method model is evaluated on the popular dataset UCF101-24 and JHMDB-21. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves an accuracy of 81.52% on the Frame-mAP metric, surpassing current existing methods. 展开更多

The ability to accurately predict urban traffic flows is crucial for optimising city operations.Consequently, various methods for forecasting urban traffic have been developed, focusing on analysing historical data to understand complex mobility patterns.Deep learning techniques, such as graph neural networks(GNNs),are popular for their ability to capture spatio-temporal dependencies. However, these models often become overly complex due to the large number of hyper-parameters involved. In this study,we introduce Dynamic Multi-Graph Spatial-Temporal Graph Neural Ordinary Differential Equation Networks(DMST-GNODE),a framework based on ordinary differential equations(ODEs)that autonomously discovers effective spatial-temporal graph neural network(STGNN)architectures for traffic prediction tasks. The comparative analysis of DMST-GNODE and baseline models indicates that DMST-GNODE model demonstrates superior performance across multiple datasets, consistently achieving the lowest Root Mean Square Error(RMSE)and Mean Absolute Error(MAE)values, alongside the highest accuracy. On the BKK(Bangkok)dataset,it outperformed other models with an RMSE of 3.3165 and an accuracy of 0.9367 for a 20-min interval, maintaining this trend across 40 and 60 min.Similarly,on the PeMS08 dataset,DMST-GNODE achieved the best performance with an RMSE of 19.4863 and an accuracy of 0.9377 at 20 min, demonstrating its effectiveness over longer periods. The Los_Loop dataset results further emphasise this model’s advantage, with an RMSE of 3.3422 and an accuracy of 0.7643 at 20 min, consistently maintaining superiority across all time intervals. These numerical highlights indicate that DMST-GNODE not only outperforms baseline models but also achieves higher accuracy and lower errors across different time intervals and datasets. 展开更多

As Deepfake technology continues to evolve, the distinction between real and fake content becomes increasingly blurred. Most existing Deepfake video detectionmethods rely on single-frame facial image features, which limits their ability to capture temporal differences between frames.Current methods also exhibit limited generalization capabilities, struggling to detect content generated by unknown forgery algorithms. Moreover, the diversity and complexity of forgery techniques introduced by Artificial Intelligence Generated Content(AIGC)present significant challenges for traditional detection frameworks, whichmust balance high detection accuracy with robust performance. To address these challenges,we propose a novel Deepfake detection framework that combines a two-stream convolutional network with a Vision Transformer(ViT)module to enhance spatio-temporal feature representation. The ViT model extracts spatial features from the forged video, while the 3D convolutional network captures temporal features. The 3D convolution enables cross-frame feature extraction, allowing the model to detect subtle facial changes between frames. The confidence scores from both the ViT and 3D convolution submodels are fused at the decision layer, enabling themodel to effectively handle unknown forgery techniques.Focusing on Deepfake videos and GAN-generated images, the proposed approach is evaluated on two widely used public face forgery datasets.Compared to existing state-of-theartmethods,it achieves higher detection accuracy and better generalization performance, offering a robust solution for deepfake detection in real-world scenarios. 展开更多

Electrocardiogram (ECG) analysis is critical for detecting arrhythmias, but traditional methods struggle with large-scale Electrocardiogram data and rare arrhythmia events in imbalanced datasets. These methods fail to perform multi-perspective learning of temporal signals and Electrocardiogram images, nor can they fully extract the latent information within the data, falling short of the accuracy required by clinicians. Therefore, this paper proposes an innovative hybrid multimodal spatiotemporal neural network to address these challenges. The model employs a multimodal data augmentation framework integrating visual and signal-based features to enhance the classification performance of rare arrhythmias in imbalanced datasets. Additionally, the spatiotemporal fusion module incorporates a spatiotemporal graph convolutional network to jointly model temporal and spatial features, uncovering complex dependencies within the Electrocardiogram data and improving the model’s ability to represent complex patterns. In experiments conducted on the MIT-BIH arrhythmia dataset, the model achieved 99.95% accuracy, 99.80% recall, and a 99.78% F1 score. The model was further validated for generalization using the clinical INCART arrhythmia dataset, and the results demonstrated its effectiveness in terms of both generalization and robustness. 展开更多

Constituted by BCH component codes and its ordered statistics decoding(OSD),the successive cancellation list(SCL)decoding of U-UV structural codes can provide competent error-correction performance in the short-to-medium length regime. However, this list decoding complexity becomes formidable as the decoding output list size increases. This is primarily incurred by the OSD.Addressing this challenge, this paper proposes the low complexity SCL decoding through reducing the complexity of component code decoding, and pruning the redundant SCL decoding paths. For the former,an efficient skipping rule is introduced for the OSD so that the higher order decoding can be skipped when they are not possible to provide a more likely codeword candidate. It is further extended to the OSD variant, the box-andmatch algorithm(BMA),in facilitating the component code decoding. Moreover, through estimating the correlation distance lower bounds(CDLBs)of the component code decoding outputs,a path pruning(PP)-SCL decoding is proposed to further facilitate the decoding of U-UV codes. In particular, its integration with the improved OSD and BMA is discussed.Simulation results show that significant complexity reduction can be achieved.Consequently, the U-UV codes can outperform the cyclic redundancy check(CRC)-polar codes with a similar decoding complexity. 展开更多

Due to the time-varying topology and possible disturbances in a conflict environment,it is still challenging to maintain the mission performance of flying Ad hoc networks(FANET),which limits the application of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)swarms in harsh environments. This paper proposes an intelligent framework to quickly recover the cooperative coveragemission by aggregating the historical spatio-temporal network with the attention mechanism. The mission resilience metric is introduced in conjunction with connectivity and coverage status information to simplify the optimization model.A spatio-temporal node pooling method is proposed to ensure all node location features can be updated after destruction by capturing the temporal network structure.Combined with the corresponding Laplacian matrix as the hyperparameter,a recovery algorithm based on the multi-head attention graph network is designed to achieve rapid recovery.Simulation results showed that the proposed framework can facilitate rapid recovery of the connectivity and coverage more effectively compared to the existing studies. The results demonstrate that the average connectivity and coverage results is improved by 17.92%and 16.96%,respectively compared with the state-of-the-art model.Furthermore,by the ablation study, the contributions of each different improvement are compared. The proposed model can be used to support resilient network design for real-time mission execution. 展开更多

In this paper,an improved spatio-temporal alignment measurement method is presented to address the inertial matching measurement of hull deformation under the coexistence of time delay and large misalignment angle.Large misalignment angle and time delay often occur simultaneously and bring great challenges to the accurate measurement of hull deformation in space and time. The proposed method utilizes coarse alignment with large misalignment angle and time delay estimation of inertial measurement unit modeling to establish a brand-new spatiotemporal aligned hull deformation measurement model. In addition,two-step loop control is designed to ensure the accurate description of dynamic deformation angle and static deformation angle by the time-space alignment method of hull deformation. The experiments illustrate that the proposed method can effectively measure the hull deformation angle when time delay and large misalignment angle coexist. 展开更多

The fluidity of coal-water slurry(CWS)is crucial for various industrial applications such as long-distance transportation, gasification, and combustion. However, there is currently a lack of rapid and accurate detection methods for assessing CWS fluidity. This paper proposed a method for analyzing the fluidity using videos of CWS dripping processes.By integrating the temporal and spatial features of each frame in the video,a multi-cascade classifier for CWS fluidity is established. The classifier distinguishes between four levels(A,B,C,and D)based on the quality of fluidity. The preliminary classification of A and D is achieved through feature engineering and the XGBoost algorithm.Subsequently, convolutional neural networks(CNN)and long short-term memory(LSTM)are utilized to further differentiate between the B and C categories which are prone to confusion. Finally, through detailed comparative experiments, the paper demonstrates the step-by-step design process of the proposed method and the superiority of the final solution. The proposed method achieves an accuracy rate of over 90%in determining the fluidity of CWS,serving as a technical reference for future industrial applications. 展开更多

Appropriately characterising the mixed space-time relations of the contagion process caused by hybrid space and time factors remains the primary challenge in COVID-19 forecasting. However,in previous deep learning models for epidemic forecasting, spatial and temporal variations are captured separately.A unified model is developed to cover all spatio-temporal relations. However, this measure is insufficient for modelling the complex spatio-temporal relations of infectious disease transmission.A dynamic adaptive spatio-temporal graph network(DASTGN)is proposed based on attention mechanisms to improve prediction accuracy. In DASTGN,complex spatio-temporal relations are depicted by adaptively fusing the mixed space-time effects and dynamic space-time dependency structure. This dual-scale model considers the time-specific,space-specific,and direct effects of the propagation process at the fine-grained level.Furthermore, the model characterises impacts from various space-time neighbour blocks under time-varying interventions at the coarse-grained level. The performance comparisons on the three COVID-19 datasets reveal that DASTGN achieves state-of-the-art results with a maximum improvement of 17.092%in the root mean-square error and 11.563%in the mean absolute error.Experimental results indicate that the mechanisms of designing DASTGN can effectively detect some spreading characteristics of COVID-19.The spatio-temporal weight matrices learned in each proposed module reveal diffusion patterns in various scenarios. In conclusion,DASTGN has successfully captured the dynamic spatio-temporal variations of COVID-19,and considering multiple dynamic space-time relationships is essential in epidemic forecasting. 展开更多

High speed photography technique is potentially the most effective way to measure the motion parameter of warhead fragment benefiting from its advantages of high accuracy, high resolution and high efficiency. However,it faces challenge in dense objects tracking and 3D trajectories reconstruction due to the characteristics of small size and dense distribution of fragment swarm. To address these challenges, this work presents a warhead fragments motion trajectories tracking and spatio-temporal distribution reconstruction method based on high-speed stereo photography.Firstly, background difference algorithm is utilized to extract the center and area of each fragment in the image sequence.Subsequently,a multi-object tracking(MOT)algorithm using Kalman filtering and Hungarian optimal assignment is developed to realize real-time and robust trajectories tracking of fragment swarm. To reconstruct 3D motion trajectories,a global stereo trajectories matching strategy is presented, which takes advantages of epipolar constraint and continuity constraint to correctly retrieve stereo correspondence followed by 3D trajectories refinement using polynomial fitting. Finally, the simulation and experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method can accurately track the motion trajectories and reconstruct the spatio-temporal distribution of 1.0×10^(3)fragments in a field of view(FOV)of 3.2 m×2.5 m,and the accuracy of the velocity estimation can achieve 98.6%. 展开更多

To solve the problem of target damage assessment when fragments attack target under uncertain projectile and target intersection in an air defense intercept, this paper proposes a method for calculating target damage probability leveraging spatio-temporal finite multilayer fragments distribution and the target damage assessment algorithm based on cloud model theory.Drawing on the spatial dispersion characteristics of fragments of projectile proximity explosion,we divide into a finite number of fragments distribution planes based on the time series in space, set up a fragment layer dispersion model grounded in the time series and intersection criterion for determining the effective penetration of each layer of fragments into the target.Building on the precondition that the multilayer fragments of the time series effectively assail the target,we also establish the damage criterion of the perforation and penetration damage and deduce the damage probability calculation model.Taking the damage probability of the fragment layer in the spatio-temporal sequence to the target as the input state variable,we introduce cloud model theory to research the target damage assessment method.Combining the equivalent simulation experiment, the scientific and rational nature of the proposed method were validated through quantitative calculations and comparative analysis. 展开更多

False data injection attack(FDIA)can affect the state estimation of the power grid by tampering with the measured value of the power grid data, and then destroying the stable operation of the smart grid.Existing work usually trains a detection model by fusing the data-driven features from diverse power data streams.Data-driven features, however, cannot effectively capture the differences between noisy data and attack samples. As a result, slight noise disturbances in the power grid may cause a large number of false detections for FDIA attacks. To address this problem, this paper designs a deep collaborative self-attention network to achieve robust FDIA detection,in which the spatio-temporal features of cascaded FDIA attacks are fully integrated.Firstly,a high-order Chebyshev polynomials-based graph convolution module is designed to effectively aggregate the spatio information between grid nodes, and the spatial self-attention mechanism is involved to dynamically assign attention weights to each node, which guides the network to pay more attention to the node information that is conducive to FDIA detection.Furthermore, the bi-directional Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM)network is introduced to conduct time series modeling and long-term dependence analysis for power grid data and utilizes the temporal self-attention mechanism to describe the time correlation of data and assign different weights to different time steps. Our designed deep collaborative network can effectively mine subtle perturbations from spatiotemporal feature information, efficiently distinguish power grid noise from FDIA attacks, and adapt to diverse attack intensities.Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method can obtain an efficient detection performance over actual load data from New York Independent System Operator(NYISO)in IEEE 14,IEEE 39,and IEEE 118 bus systems, and outperforms state-of-the-art FDIA detection schemes in terms of detection accuracy and robustness. 展开更多

Quantum error correction, a technique that relies on the principle of redundancy to encode logical information into additional qubits to better protect the system from noise, is necessary to design a viable quantum computer. For this new topological stabilizer code-XYZ^(2) code defined on the cellular lattice, it is implemented on a hexagonal lattice of qubits and it encodes the logical qubits with the help of stabilizer measurements of weight six and weight two. However topological stabilizer codes in cellular lattice quantum systems suffer from the detrimental effects of noise due to interaction with the environment. Several decoding approaches have been proposed to address this problem. Here, we propose the use of a state-attention based reinforcement learning decoder to decode XYZ^(2) codes, which enables the decoder to more accurately focus on the information related to the current decoding position, and the error correction accuracy of our reinforcement learning decoder model under the optimisation conditions can reach 83.27% under the depolarizing noise model, and we have measured thresholds of 0.18856 and 0.19043 for XYZ^(2) codes at code spacing of 3–7 and 7–11, respectively. our study provides directions and ideas for applications of decoding schemes combining reinforcement learning attention mechanisms to other topological quantum error-correcting codes. 展开更多

Quantum error correction is a crucial technology for realizing quantum computers. These computers achieve faulttolerant quantum computing by detecting and correcting errors using decoding algorithms.Quantum error correction using neural network-based machine learning methods is a promising approach that is adapted to physical systems without the need to build noise models. In this paper,we use a distributed decoding strategy, which effectively alleviates the problem of exponential growth of the training set required for neural networks as the code distance of quantum error-correcting codes increases. Our decoding algorithm is based on renormalization group decoding and recurrent neural network decoder. The recurrent neural network is trained through the ResNet architecture to improve its decoding accuracy. Then we test the decoding performance of our distributed strategy decoder, recurrent neural network decoder, and the classic minimum weight perfect matching(MWPM)decoder for rotated surface codes with different code distances under the circuit noise model, the thresholds of these three decoders are about 0.0052,0.0051,and 0.0049,respectively.Our results demonstrate that the distributed strategy decoder outperforms the other two decoders, achieving approximately a 5%improvement in decoding efficiency compared to the MWPM decoder and approximately a 2%improvement compared to the recurrent neural network decoder. 展开更多

Belief propagation list(BPL) decoding for polar codes has attracted more attention due to its inherent parallel nature. However, a large gap still exists with CRC-aided SCL(CA-SCL) decoding. In this work, an improved segmented belief propagation list decoding based on bit flipping(SBPL-BF) is proposed. On the one hand, the proposed algorithm makes use of the cooperative characteristic in BPL decoding such that the codeword is decoded in different BP decoders. Based on this characteristic, the unreliable bits for flipping could be split into multiple subblocks and could be flipped in different decoders simultaneously. On the other hand, a more flexible and effective processing strategy for the priori information of the unfrozen bits that do not need to be flipped is designed to improve the decoding convergence. In addition, this is the first proposal in BPL decoding which jointly optimizes the bit flipping of the information bits and the code bits. In particular, for bit flipping of the code bits, a H-matrix aided bit-flipping algorithm is designed to enhance the accuracy in identifying erroneous code bits. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm significantly improves the errorcorrection performance of BPL decoding for medium and long codes. It is more than 0.25 d B better than the state-of-the-art BPL decoding at a block error rate(BLER) of 10^(-5), and outperforms CA-SCL decoding in the low signal-to-noise(SNR) region for(1024, 0.5)polar codes. 展开更多

Decline in wildlife populations is manifest globally, regionally and locally. A wildlife decline of 68% has been reported in Kenya’s rangelands with Baringo County experiencing more than 85% wildlife loss in the last four decades. Greater Kudu (Tragelaphus strepsiceros) is endemic to Lake Bogoria landscape in Baringo County and constitutes a major tourist attraction for the region necessitating use of its photo on the County’s logo and thus a flagship species. Tourism plays a central role in Baringo County’s economy and is a major source of potential growth and employment creation. The study was carried out to assess spatio-temporal change of dispersal areas of Greater Kudu (GK) in Lake Bogoria landscape in the last four years for enhanced adaptive management and improved livelihoods. GK population distribution primary data collected in December 2022 and secondary data acquired from Lake Bogoria National Game Reserve (LBNGR) for 2019 and 2020 were digitized using in a Geographic Information System (GIS). Measures of dispersion and point pattern analysis (PPA) were used to analyze dispersal of GK population using GIS. Spatio-temporal change of GK dispersal in LBNR was evident thus the null hypothesis was rejected. It is recommended that anthropogenic activities contributing to GK’s habitat degradation be curbed by providing alternative livelihood sources and promoting community adoption of sustainable technologies for improved livelihoods. 展开更多

In this paper an effective MC + FGSST structure is explored, which is appropriate for scalable video coding. The structure obtains spatio-temporal-SNR fine granular scalability, and achieves high coding efficiency at the same time. Users can acquire their necessary scalability by choosing and combining them. Then, a high-powered codec solution based on this structure is presented. Subsequently, a focus issue on the right number of bit-planes should be used for motion compensation is discussed, and an algorithm is presented for this issue. The proposed codec saves a lot of hardware expense. Simulation results indicate that the performance of MC + FGSST structure is superior to that of FGSST structure. 展开更多
