Considering the self-excited and forced vibrations in high-speed milling processes, a novel method for dynamic optimization of system stability is used to determine the cutting parameters and structural parameters by increasing the chatter free material removal rate (CF-MRR) and surface finish. The method is hased on the theory of the chatter stability and the semi-bandwidth of the resonant region. The objective function of the method is material removal rate(MRR),the constraints are chatter stability and surface finish, and the optimizing variables are cutting and structural parameters. The optimization procedure is stated. The method is applied to a milling system and CF-MRR is increased 18.86%. It is shown that the influences of the chatter stability and the resonance are simultaneously considered in the dynamic optimization of the milling system for increasing CF-MRR and the surface finish. 展开更多

This paper investigates the absolute exponential stability of generalized neural networks with a general class of partially Lipschitz continuous and monotone increasing activation functions. The main obtained result is that if the interconnection matrix T of the neural system satisfies that - T is an H matrix with nonnegative diagonal elements, then the neural system is absolutely exponentially stable(AEST). The Hopfield network, Cellular neural network and Bidirectional associative memory network are special cases of the network model considered in this paper. In two cases that upstream and downstream firms have the decision power of intermediate product prices in a two-level supply chain,the dynamic pricing mechanism of intermediate products is studied.When a party who has the decision power of pricing gives prices of intermediate products,the other side will give the supply or demand quantity of intermediate products which maximizes its own profits,then the party who decides price has two pricing strategies.One uses the matching price which meets the other party's demand or supply needs according to the prices of intermediate products in the next cycle.The other uses the convex combinations of the current price and the matching price which satisfies the other party's demand or supply as the price of the intermediate product in the next cycle.No matter which side has the decision power of intermediate product prices between upstream and downstream firms,results show that in the first pricing strategy,only in one case of the pricing of intermediate products stable;but in the second pricing strategy,both of the cases of pricing of intermediate products are stable in a certain field of combined parameters. 展开更多

The dynamic stability of a quadruped robot trotting on slope was analyzed.Compared with crawl gait,trot gait can improve walking speed of quadruped robots.When a quadruped robot trots,each leg is in the alternate state of swing phase or supporting phase,and two legs in the diagonal line are in the same phase.The feet in the supporting phase form a supporting region on the ground.When a quadruped robot walks on slope,the vertical distance from zero moment point(ZMP) to the supporting diagonal line is defined as ZMP offset distance.Whether this distance is less than the maximum offset distance or not,the stability of robot trotting on slope can be judged.The foot trajectory was planned with the sinusoidal function.Based on the kinematic analysis,the ZMP offset distance of quadruped robot under different slope angles,step length and step height was calculated,then the reasonable slope angle,step length and step height for quadruped robot trotting on slope to keep dynamic stability can be determined.On the other hand,the posture angle of quadruped robot should be controlled within the desired range.Computer simulations were executed to verify the theoretical analysis.The study will provide reference for determining reasonable step parameters of the quadruped robot. 展开更多

With the growing deployment of smart distribution grid,it has become urgent to investigate the smart distribution grid behavior during transient faults and improve the system stability.The feasibility of segmenting large power grids and multiple smart distribution grids interconnections using energy storage technology for improving the system dynamic stability was studied.The segmentation validity of the large power grids and smart distribution grid inverter output interconnections power system using energy storage technology was proved in terms of theoretical analysis.Then,the influences of the energy storage device location and capacity on the proposed method were discussed in detail.The conclusion is obtained that the ESD optimal locations are allocated at the tie line terminal buses in the interconnected grid,respectively.The effectiveness of the proposed method was verified by simulations in an actual power system. 展开更多

A passive simulation method based on the six degrees of freedom(6-DOF)model and dynamic mesh is proposed according to the working principle to study the dynamic characteristics of the turbine flow sensors.This simulation method controls the six degrees of freedom of the impeller using the user-defined functions(UDF)program so that it can only rotate under the impact of fluid.The impeller speed can be calculated in real-time,and the inlet speed can be set with time to obtain the dynamic performance of the turbine flow sensors.Based on this simulation method,three turbine flow sensors with different diameters were simulated,and the reliability of the simulation method was verified by both steady-state and unsteady-state experiments.The results show that the trend of meter factor with flow rate acquired from the simulation is close to the experimental results.The deviation between the simulation and experiment results is low,with a maximum deviation of 2.88%.In the unsteady simulation study,the impeller speed changed with the inlet velocity of the turbine flow sensor,showing good tracking performance.The passive simulation method can be used to predict the dynamic performance of the turbine flow sensor. 展开更多

The required reinforcement force to prevent instability and the yield acceleration of reinforced slopes are computed under seismic loading by applying the kinematic approach of limit analysis in conjunction with the pseudo-dynamic method for a wide range of soil cohesion, friction angle, dilation angle and horizontal and vertical seismic coefficients. Each parameter threatening the stability of the slope enhances the magnitude of the required reinforcement force and vice versa. Moreover, the yield acceleration increases with the increase in soil shear strength parameters but decreases with the increase in the slope angle. The comparison of the present work with some of the available solutions in the literatures shows a reasonable agreement. 展开更多

To have a deep understanding of the lateral stability of hypersonic lifting-configurations, wind-tunnel tests of roll static and dynamic stability for typical hypersonic lifting-configurations are carried out. The results show the roll is static unstable in small angles; the roll dynamic test curves present obvious non-linearity characteristics, and the model vibrates violently even When the angle of attack is small, which may be provoked by the non-symmetry transition from the small transverse flow around the nose of model. Subsequent research adopts longitudinal trips to generate symmetry transition at the fore-body of the model. As a result, the lateral stability of the aircrafts is apparently improved. The results show that the lateral stability of hypersonic aircrafts is very weak, and the main reason for this is lateral perturbation of flow over the nose, among which asymmetric transition weighs the most. Adoption of longitudinal trips could spur fixed transition of lateral flow, reduce the transition asymmetry of lateral flow, and strengthen the lateral stability of hypersonic aircrafts at the same time. 展开更多

After the erection of the Three Gorges Dam, the water level of Yangtze River will reach 175 m, and the average wave crest will be up to 1 m. Therefore the wave action cannot be neglected for the slope stability. Through simulation tests, the wave-induced dynamic response of the slope is analyzed. The soil body is taken as linear elastic body when it has a small deformation under the small wave action. Based on tests, the excess pore pressure and slope displacement under the loading in different wave period are analyzed. The ratio of dynamic strength and static strength to the breaking process of the slope is discussed. It is demonstrated that smaller wave period gives rise to a larger strain of the slope under the same stress. At different depth of water, different weakness effect on the stability of the soil slope is observed and the slope has an adaptability to the wave action to some extent. 展开更多

Furthermore, when the distance from bifurcation is of comparable order ε2 (|ε|≤1), the first two terms in e-expansions for the new asymptotic bifurcation solutions are derived by multiscale expansion method.
