Additionally, the research examines the modern Mandarin pronunciations of “行” ([háng] and [xíng]) in terms of their application and classification, along with an analysis of the semantic implications of “单行法” (dānháng fǎ or dānxíng fǎ) itself. Furthermore, the study explores the orthography and interpretations of the character in oracle bone inscriptions to argue that the “行” in “单行法” should be pronounced as [háng] rather than [xíng]. Given that “单行法” is a specialized legal term, the correction of the phonetic reading of “行” in this context aids in tracing the term’s origins and restoring its adherence to the principles of precision and authenticity in legal language.展开更多
