Conventional radiosurgery devices, such as the Gamma Knife, rely upon skeletally attached Stereotactic frames to immobilize the patient and precisely determine the 3D spatial position of a tumor. A relatively new instrument, the CyberKnife (Accuray, Inc., Sunnyvale, CA), makes it possible to administer radiosurgery without a frame. The CyberKnife localizes clinical targets using a very accurate image-to-image correlation algorithm, and precisely cross-fires high-energy radiation from a lightweight linear accelerator by means of a highly manipulable robotic arm. CyberKnife radiosurgery is an effective alternative to conventional surgery or radiation therapy for a range of tumors and some non-neoplastic disorders. The author pays attention to Japanese output of 19th century Japanese idea that grasped Buddhism into the theoretical frames of western philosophy. The attempt of translating Buddhism with terminology taken from European philosophy allowed not only to refresh the general look at Buddhism, but also to bring it closer to western man. By analyzing the western philosophy, we may often come across many aspects closed to Buddhist idea although we must bear in mind the fact that those similarities can often enough create a misrepresentation. The present article as an attempt is to answer the questions: To what degree can we really speak of knowledge of Buddhism being closed in language frames? Is it possible to get to know Buddhism without its practice, based only on the philosophical studies?展开更多

In modem technological world; this definition has been changed and modified to include t...The classical definition of learning is: change and modification of behavior as a result of experience, training, and practice. In modem technological world; this definition has been changed and modified to include the changes and modification in behavior as a result of experience, training, and practice by using modem toolkits and metacognition for self-regulated, lifelong, open, flexible, and continuous learning in Virtual Learning Environment Framework (VLEF). The classical factors of learning included: motivation, attitude, interest, attention, readiness, participation, and reinforcement. But, due to the modem toolkits, gadgets, and ICT technologies, there are new varieties in modes of presentations and instructions. The emerging learning factors to be integrated and blended include: multimedia, hypermedia, and multimodality. The researcher has intended to identify the gap in the existing literature for the inclusion of new emerging factors such as multimedia, hypermedia, and multimodal presentations. The purpose of the study was to identify the gap in the factors of learning for learning blend in this era of science and technology, especially, in the ICT-integrated form of blended learning. The methodology of the study was analysis and synthesis of literature in the form of reviewing literature for developing a model of blended leaning. The study is significant because it has filled the gap in factors of learning for making it blended in VLEF. The factors were analyzed and synthesized in the form of a model. The findings were summarized for drawing conclusion, and at the end there were made some suggestions and recommendations for blended learning environments.展开更多

As result of this, a games-based framework for learning has been developed in these last years. This framework is composed by a competition called Mobigame, which has as main aim to stimulate the participation of the students. By participating in this competition participants learn to develop for mobile devices. A game to practice Japanese is also presented in this article, which was presented in the above mentioned competition. This game has been developed for mobile phones or PDAs (Personal Digital Assistants) based on the JME (Java Mobile Edition) technology. Finally, another initiative is also presented: A free download platform of digital contents for mobile devices based on info-educational games.展开更多
