Utilizing the UAM Corpus Tool software and Martin’s appraisal theory, this research employs both quantitative and qualitative approaches to analyze the news discourse through the three subsystems of appraisal theory: attitude, engagement, and graduation. The aim is to explore the positive meanings conveyed in rural revitalization news, thereby promoting positive changes in the field of rural revitalization, effectively encouraging public participation in this significant endeavor, and examining the construction of China’s international image. This study also seeks to broaden the application of appraisal theory in news discourse.展开更多
