Since the opening of the New Maritime Routes, globalization has gradually taken shape, characterized by economic integration, instant information dissemination, cultural integration and conflicts, prominent international issues, and the internationalization of talent flow. It has brought both opportunities and challenges to higher education. Current affairs refer to major events in multiple global fields, while policies are action guidelines, and the two are closely related. The integration of this course into higher education aligns with the goal of talent cultivation, helping to develop students’ comprehensive abilities and qualities. It also meets the needs of social development, enabling students to seize opportunities in emerging industries and international cooperation. Moreover, it enhances the quality and connotation of education, enriches courses, optimizes the curriculum structure, and cultivates critical thinking. In conclusion, this integration is of great significance for the development of China’s higher education and is conducive to promoting the country’s modernization drive and demonstrating its influence globally.展开更多
