As a major trading partner of the EU, China exports countless goods to the EU through the shipping industry every year, and the inclusion of the shipping industry in the carbon emissions trading system is certainly a necessary measure based on global warming and environmental protection. But this move will undoubtedly have a certain impact on China’s shipping industry and even the global shipping industry. Starting from the EU carbon trading system, the main research problem is to analyze the impact of the carbon trading system on the shipping industry by analyzing how the carbon trading system operates, and on this basis, it puts forward China’s response, that is, China should speed up the construction and improvement of domestic carbon emission trading system.
